Keepitsimple Posted April 26, 2014 Report Posted April 26, 2014 Proven false statements here! Corporations are sitting on record high revenues that they refuse to re enter into the economy. Yes and no. Corporations are sitting on a lot of cash waiting for the right time throw it into investment. No sense building new plants or hiring a bunch of workers if their products don't have demand due to other countries not yet able to buy more product. That's actually the exciting thing about where Canada is positioned. When the Global economy picks up, many of our businesses are well-positioned to take advantage. Really good times ahead. jbg Posted April 28, 2014 Report Posted April 28, 2014 I didn't say there was a problem with the surplus, did I? When will you stop asking questions phrased like, "when did you stop beating your wife, Shady?"The tone of the OP shows that you do not wish the CPC well. cybercoma Posted April 28, 2014 Author Report Posted April 28, 2014 (edited) Of course it will. I said it 3 years ago. The CPC set fires that they could put out during the election year. It has been obvious since day 1. They'll wave around the surpluses like it's some kind of accomplishment, when the main reason they went into such a deep deficit is the tax cuts, credits, and incentives that they gave out over the last several years. Edited April 28, 2014 by cybercoma Quote
Smallc Posted April 28, 2014 Report Posted April 28, 2014 The only reason they went into deficit was the global financial crisis. Anything else is revisionist history. Quote
cybercoma Posted April 28, 2014 Author Report Posted April 28, 2014 Please. If you get to wave their responsibility over the "global financial crisis," that Harper denied when they went into a deficit, then you don't get give him credit for the surpluses that are largely due to the rebounding economy. Quote
Smallc Posted April 28, 2014 Report Posted April 28, 2014 When every government is running a deficit, then you can pretty easily blame it on the global economy. When only some governments are running a surplus, it isn't so easy to pin it in economic improvement. Obviously Canada's fiscal policies just haven't been that bad. Quote

WWWTT Posted April 28, 2014 Report Posted April 28, 2014 No, that's how they got OUT of the huge deficits that the opposition piled upon them. No sorry, you actually have it backwards. Because the majority of the MP"s sitting in the house of commons knew that to lesson the impact of the recession there was a needed a surge in stimulus spending. This was what saved our economy from collapse. And in the end, the conservatives took credit for the debt by posting a sign at every single project, see link http://ri.search.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0LEVjtPx11TCioAJFoXFwx.;_ylu=X3oDMTByMG04Z2o2BHNlYwNzcgRwb3MDMQRjb2xvA2JmMQR2dGlkAw--/RV=2/RE=1398683600/RO=10/RU=http%3a%2f%2fwww.conservative.ca%2f%3fp%3d363/RK=0/RS=AflkuaBOXik99GuNIbFA_ABQDTI- WWWTT Quote Maple Leaf Web is now worth $720.00! Does it really matter? The job of our government is to run the country that serves the people, not run a company! If anybody does not see the difference. I hope to God you never become a politician! The government is not a run for profit organization. The conservatives are playing to their base here, sounds like they are worried. And that's a good thing my friends! WWWTT Posted April 28, 2014 Report Posted April 28, 2014 Yes, the Conservatives are the best economic managers in this country's history. Thanks for posting the link that confirms it. No sorry, you still have it backwards. Back in 2008/2009, the liberals, bloq and the NDP had the majority of MP's sitting. Not the conservatives. Increasing stimulus spending that saved our economy (not to be confused with increased military spending, increase conservative government staff and deeper corporate tax cuts) was something that the MAJORITY MP's sitting wanted, not the conservative MP's. It was until the MAJORITY sitting MP's told the GG that the gig was up if the conservative MP's don't play ball. WWWTT Quote Maple Leaf Web is now worth $720.00!
