Guest Peeves Posted December 4, 2012 Report Posted December 4, 2012 And he felt physically just the same as a Jew or Catholic does. I was at a seminar on the Middle East. The animosity between the Israelis-Jews and the Arabs was obviously pointed and quite heated at times, yet, it was sensible and non violent. Nobody was insulting. Nobody was shooting at each other. Of course that t'was 25 years ago and there's been no progress. After the session was over with little if any progress some of us hung back to mingle with the Arab contingent. It was promising and sad. There was no doubt in my mind that everyone there wanted peace. There was however no resolution or agreement as to how that might come about. Most of the session was about grievances, attacks, occupation, land, and bombers. Still, I remember that hug whilst the rhetoric has faded even if the situation has not. What I remember most.......we were both sincere. So sad............. Quote
