The five states with the lowest unemployment rates are Right-to-Work, not forced union membership states.

Nevada has the highest unemployment rate in the US and it's Right-to-Work too.

...and the state with the next highest unemployment is Rhode Island....not RTW.

....So where does that leave us in terms of O’Reilly’s claim? He said that "right-to-work states have much lower level of unemployment than the union states do." To say it’s "much lower" is a stretch, but he's right that it is lower. On balance, we rate his statement Mostly True.

I bet we would have full employment companies could pay people $1/hour too.

Tell me you would be the first in line to get hired at that rate. Companies could offer that and you could be guaranteed to be hired if you showed up but I doubt anyone would.

I want to be in the class that ensures the classless society remains classless.

Eight of the 12 states with the highest unemployment rates have right-to-work so there goes that argument. Again if you look at right to work states and compare them with none right to work states the employment rates are not any different. That is just a fact. Which is what I said. Don't move the goal posts right to work has no real effect on unemployment.

Then they'll just bring in some indentured labour from developing hell-holes and pay them 15% less.

This is false as of October 2012. Right to work states have a lower unemployment rate.

Right to work states also have the lowest piss-poor wages, thanks to union-busting kicking the money up to the top....just like the Mafia! Like I said before, I hope you guys are getting paid for worshiping wealth and privilege:

Economists: Right-to-work states have lower-income residents, poor labor relations

When right-to-work laws were first implemented decades ago, those first states benefitted with increased employment because companies and jobs migrated there in search of the lower wages, Belman said. But that impact has faded over time as more states joined those ranks and as unions have agreed to concessionary demands from employers, he said.

The data on wages tell a fairly clear story. Of the top 10 states in per capita income in 2011, seven were not right-to work states. Of the bottom 10 states with the lowest per capital income, seven were right to work states.

“There is a lot of evidence that wages and benefits are lower in right-to-work states.
There’s a redistribution of wages and benefits toward owners’ capital
,” Belman said Thursday.

Since this thread was originally about the Hostess layoffs of 18,000 workers, and the OP blaming unions for job losses, and derailed somewhat by the endless bowing and scraping before the Job Providers, I want to make sure that this story about the company raiding the employees pension plan wasn't overlooked:

Again if you do an unemployment calculation (which means you factor in population) they are no different. If you don't include population and do a simple average which would be wrong to do because then all of Americas unemployment drops .7% because of your math error you would be right. There is no difference.

More reading for those who don't understand how these laws effect economics.
