Guest Peeves Posted October 27, 2012 Report Posted October 27, 2012 I'm setting my sump pump lower. Never had a problem here with wind-weather, but this could be a doozie. You taking any precautions? Building an ark? Weather Gone Wild Rains that are almost biblical, heat waves that don’t end, tornadoes that strike in savage swarms—there’s been a change in the weather lately. What’s going on? Forecasters in Canada are warning that Hurricane Sandy is expected to lash parts of Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada with heavy rain and winds. The late-season storm has been dubbed “Frankenstorm” by some weather watchers because it will combine elements of a tropical cyclone and a winter storm and is expected to reach the U.S. coast close to Halloween. On Saturday morning, Environment Canada said "southern and eastern Ontario and western Quebec are likely to see the most rainfall from this system with total amounts by Tuesday evening possibly reaching the 50 to 100 mm range which would be typical for post-tropical weather systems." http://www.wellandtr...in-its-sights-2 Quote
