Slaughtering cattle is a secondary industry and so BSE may actually help create jobs here in Canada. I guess the moral is: if you want the production jobs, restrict exports of the primary materials to bigger economies as much as possible. Me too, even though most of the large companies in Canada are American owned; they still use Canadian labour. I hope some of the new slaughter/processing plants are Canadian owned. Quote
