While the struggle between the military power and Egyptians continue, an interesting story has been developing in regards to Egyptian Christians and Muslims.

Just recently, Coptic Christians in Egypt became the victims of attacks blamed on an ultraconservative Muslim group. Not long after this, I read a story about Muslim groups forming a human shield around Christian Churches in different parts of the country during mass while Christians were forming a human shield around Muslims praying during the protests in Tahrir Square.

I found this story to be quite inspiring as it sent a very strong message to the extremists and to the world that extremist Muslim groups do not represent all Muslims in Egypt.

Here is an article and some photos.

When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it--always. Gandhi

What would be even better is if people realized that their mythical beings aren't worth killing people over.

Would there be the need for human shields if there weren't fights over whose mythical beings were the best?

I pray that this is not apochryphal and happens more often. After all the upcoming season is about peace on Earth, goodwill to man.
