That's coming anyway actually. There's enough oil to go around:

Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Newfoundland and Labrador all have increasing oil production.

But under the Free Trade Agreement we have to sell it to the US unless they say they don't want to buy.

Well apparently these particular companies seem to think they have the capacity to sell elsewhere.

Reality check it it was Dalton McGunity that bailed out the Auto Companies not Stephen Harper.

PROVINCE OF ONTARIO. Other provinces didn't give a damn about Ontario's Auto industry, well enough not to chip in for the buy outs.

Actually my friend you are incorrect - Harper and Dalton worked together to buy $10 billion into GM - see link below

It's also worth noting that Canada recieved an exemption only from one section within the American Reconstruction and Reinvestment Act. If you look at the act more closely you`ll see a number of other `made in america` provisions which we did not get exempt from.

Also the act only exempted Canada from seven programs - and if you look at their website, they money was already spent by the time the agreement was signed. For example - clean water funding was already spent by the deadline and the United States openly admited it on their websites. http://water.epa.gov/aboutow/eparecovery/upload/US-Canada_Agreement_and_BA.pdf
