Layton predicted to win riding

The close-up look at selected ridings also showed NDP Leader Jack Layton winning in the Toronto-Danforth riding, and a stunning upset in the Quebec Liberal stronghold of Outremont, where Martin's controversial right-hand man in the province, Jean Lapierre, appears poised to suffer a stinging, personal defeat.

Liberal MP Dennis Mills, not a Martin confidant, stands to lose in Toronto-Danforth to the NDP leader, the Star poll also shows.

In 254 interviews in the riding this week, support for the NDP was pegged at 46 per cent, compared to 37.3 per cent for the Liberals.

An education isn't how much you have committed to memory, or even how much you know. It's being able to differentiate between what you do know and what you don't.
