The Terrible Sweal
...It's amazing how you bitter people fail to forget that the recounts in Florida all favoured Bush. You also fail to mention that the poor ballet design was by democrats. The 5 Republican-appointed justices of the USSC stopped the recounts that you place such reliance on. Why aren't YOU bitter then? In any event, I have no shame in saying I'm pissed at what the court did. It's the right way to feel about such an affront. He claims to decide the fate of America based on religious whimsy. I don't remember Bush saying that God told him to attack Iraq. On Iraq and other issues, he has left a different impression with me. Funny that the constitution of the United States is something that was conjured up by "religious whimsy". Sorry, did you garble that? I don't understand. The constitution didn't come from religion, Sounds like you consider yourself better and above most Americans and citizens of the world who follow "religious whimsy". I consider anyone who decides things based on pre-fabricated certainties to be operating at a substantial disadvantage versus someone who is unencumbered by such perspectives. ...What I consider "reputable" is Alan Greenspan, the smartest living economist, stating that Bush's tax cuts have got the economy rolling again. Did he really attribute causation to Bush's mad economics? I can't believe it. When is the left going to drop it's myopic view of taxing the hell out of the wealth creators. I can't speak for the left, but I hope they stop soon. I also hope the right stops undermining the capability of governments to address problems society would do well to solve. That's me, a classical liberal.

The US constitution was inspired and is based on Christianity.

Dragonfly
Boy, you know its a divided country when even the Canadians are weighing in on the debate. I don't blame them, in fact, I encourage it. Only a fool would not understand that what happens in the U.S. has an effect in Canada as well. Personally, I am more concerned with this election that any other I have witnessed in my 52 years. I cannot imagine any possible scenario where I would cast my vote for Bush, and I live in Texas. The only good thing about Bush being elected president is that he is no longer my Governor. He is, undoubtedly, the worse president this country has ever had. So, you can count me in for the "anybody but Bush" camp! BTW, I would love to visit, or live in Canada. These Texas summers require a new definition of the word "hot."
