So just a few minutes ago the Dragon spacecraft successfully deployed its parachutes on its return to Earth after a successful launch on the SpaceX Falcon 9 and several orbits. It is the first time a commercial spacecraft has successfully been launched, orbited, and re-entered the Earth's atmosphere. A very exciting day for space enthusiasts, as it hopefully ushers in a new era of commercial space flight.

Hopefully we'll see confirmation of successful landing and recovery in a few minutes.
