Calling her party's campaign a "comedy of errors," an outspoken Liberal MP from Ontario says Liberal Leader Paul Martin should have waited until fall to call an election.

Mississauga MP Carolyn Parrish says she's seen a lot of anger at the Liberals during door-to-door campaigning.

Constituents are angry at the party for the sponsorship scandal and the provincial budget in Ontario, in which Liberal Premier Dalton McGuinty backtracked on a promise not to raise taxes.

She says the federal campaign has been filled with problems and hopes the worst is behind the party.

"The campaign has been a comedy of errors. It was like the Keystone Cops running around," said Parrish.

A longtime Martin supporter, she says the election call should have come in the fall or next spring.
