well the national results of ipsos reflect the national results of other polls, however the results for B.C go agianst every other poll, so unless another poll confirms this, i would say the B.C results for that poll can't be trusted, considering most polls put them atleast double 14%.

Actually Norm Spector writes about it in his column in today's Vancouver Sun. "FISHY" I think he called it.

Do you think it was rigged, or just an honest mistake?

Who would have benefitted from such a huge erroneous result? :D

it can very easily be a mistake, especially at the regional level. In B.C say 45 peopel were found, out of 1,000 peopel nationaly. say there were 2 votes, instead of beign NDP, 1 was lib the other con. that takes away about 5% of the vote for the NDP, 12% of the vote was undecided...so 6 regional B.C votes were simply distributed by regional polling patterns. By having 2 irregular votes in favour of the cons and libs, the two parties woudl ahve recieved a greater share then they deserved,a nd the NDP would have gotten a smaller share then they deserved, making that whoel thing a double edged sword. it is easy to see from that point of view a 10% loss to the NDP, so instead of being 24% (leger says 28) they are 14%. After all 10% of the vote in B.C is 4-5 people.

Another B.C example from this would be

Ipsos May 7-13 cons 23

8% difference

Ipsos May 11-17 cons 31

14% difference

Compas May 14-19 cons 45

So it is very easy for it to be a mistake, unfortunantley I don't kow the polling size province by province, and I am assuming all polling companies are very uniform in there methods..so i coudl be wrong but it coudl easily be a mistake.
