August1991 Posted May 30, 2004 Report Posted May 30, 2004 Check this out at the Liberal Party (federal) web site. I still haven't formed an opinion. It's too weird. Liberal Top Ten List The French sentence in the English version is filled with errors. The French version reads like a translation. And BTW, Infoman is a very well-known (in Quebec) Radio-Canada character. His web site is here. Quote
August1991 Posted May 30, 2004 Author Report Posted May 30, 2004 If this is for real, then this is really, really dumb. First, the jokes are not funny. "Bootylicious"? (On the French site, it's "Pétard" which is just as inane.) Second, Layton just accused Martin of making bad decisions that lead to preventable deaths. Life matters. We should enjoy it and laugh. But not this way. Third, the Liberals just spent $250 million on flags that don't fly or don't even exist. The money was used for restaurant meals or kickbacks to pay for the classy Liberal ads we're all watching now. At the moment, IMHO, most Canadians are not looking to discover the lighter side of Paul Martin. (Is 'bootilicious' PM PM's lighter side?) Quote
playfullfellow Posted May 30, 2004 Report Posted May 30, 2004 Martin is right, he definately needs new writers. The only one that even remotely was a wee bit humorous was the, hmmmmmmmm I stand corrected, they all sucked sewer gas. I get a better laugh out of seeing Martins speeches about how the Liberals will change under his leadership, now that is a joke. Quote
takeanumber Posted May 30, 2004 Report Posted May 30, 2004 It's a light hearted joke. It's not policy related, so just relax. Seriously, some of you guys are as cold as....as cold as....Stephen Harper working a room. Quote

Seriously, some of you guys are as cold as....as cold as....Stephen Harper working a room. no seriously it isn't funny... this would be funny, A kid goes to his dad and asks, "Dad, what are politics?" His dad replies, " Put it this way; I am the breadwinner of the family so I am capatilism. Your mom is the owner of the money so she is government. The government is the provider for the people so you are the people. Your baby brother will be the future, and the nanny is the working class. Now think about that." So he went to bed. He was woken by his brother. The baby had pooped in his daiper. He went to tell his parents, but he only found his mom asleep in the bed. He didn't want to wake her, so he went to the nanny. The door was locked. He checked through a hole and saw the dad in bed with the nanny. He went back to bed, frustrated. The next morning, he went to his dad and said, "Dad i know what you mean now." "You do? Tell me." "Well, dad, while capitalism is screwing the Working Class, The government is sound asleep, the People are being completely ignored and the Future is in deep sh1t. If he wants to be funny thats great, watch jay leno he can copy soem of his lines, maybe put out an alert that canadian authorities are on the look out for a suspected a lqueda terrorist named Izhit mypants. Unfortunantley this top 10 list is not bootylicious. Quote The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. I don't see why it's such a problem, or how terrorism ties into this. Quote
