Mr.Canada Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 (edited) Netanyahu contends that Iran is seeking a nuclear bomb to fulfill Ahmadinejad's declared wish for Israel's destruction. Confronting it, he argues, eclipses the importance of U.S.-led attempts to revive peacemaking with Palestinians and Arabs. For Ahmadinejad, who says Iran's nuclear ambitions are purely peaceful, any breakdown of U.S. mediation backs up his doctrine that armed resistance, not negotiations, is the only way to regain Israeli-occupied land, especially Jerusalem. So Israeli plans to build 1,600 more homes for Jews on West Bank land annexed to Jerusalem -- announced last week Source/Full Story Perhaps Israel should attack Iran now before they get nuclear capability and launch a nuke at Israel. Noneof this humanitarian crap like what the US and Canada are doing in the Middle East. Reduce Iran to rubble then leave. Let them rebuild again. It's too dangerous to let them have a chance to get nuclear weapons. Iran would likely use them against Israel, Ahmadinejad is a mad man and cannot be trusted. As we can see Mr. Iran intends to wipe out Israel by military force. I suspect we'll have a replay of the 6 day war at some point. Israel ahs every right to build whatever they want on their own lands. No nation orgroup has any rights to try and tell them where and when they can build. Iran doesn't have the military power to wipe out Israel. I doubt it even has the delivery systems to drop one of its does-not-exist-yet warheads on Israel. However, it's pretty clear that Iran has pretty heavily armored its facilities, so it's going to be significantly more difficult than just bombing them. I don't think Ahmadinejad is a madman, he's kind of like Baghdad Bob. Besides, he's just a pawn anyways. It's not quite clear where the power now lies in Iran (though it seems that the Ayatollahs have probably lost considerable influence to the Revolutionary Guard), but I don't think these guys are suicidal. If they did launch a nuclear strike (whenever it is they're actually capable of doing that) at Israel, Qom and Tehran would be molten glass in hours, the regime would be wiped out in an instant. The rhetoric, by and large, is meant to inflame the population, or at least to keep the converted onside. Quote

So you think that all the bluster from both sides is basically to keep the troops fired up so to speak? As they need that animosity in order to keep them in power, a reason for them being there in the first place sort of thing. Keep the people scared then you have a safe job, hehe. I like this.
