bloodyminded Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 You mangled a quote on purpose.....Shady called you on it....how brave! Ah, yes. The cute little liar who produces unrelated quotes to "prove" his point speaks. Isn't that precious. Quote As scarce as truth is, the supply has always been in excess of the demand. --Josh Billings
bloodyminded Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 The quote has been changed, as per request. Thanks to Shady. Quote As scarce as truth is, the supply has always been in excess of the demand. --Josh Billings
Pliny Posted January 1, 2010 Report Posted January 1, 2010 Thanks Shady! Quote I want to be in the class that ensures the classless society remains classless.
BubberMiley Posted January 1, 2010 Report Posted January 1, 2010 But if Reagan was a signatory to the convention, that would mean he agreed with it--something those who seek weasel-room in semantics would seek to obscure. Pliny Posted January 1, 2010 Report Posted January 1, 2010 While you write in a civilized way, you offer nothing but profound--even total--disrespect to anyone who doesn't see the world exactly as you do. No one sees the world as I do. I offer a point of view on government. Not the world. You can, and you do, disagree. When I said that leftists were in profound conflcit with one another, I was speaking to a broad, messy sense of individuals offering different opinions and with varied nuances of belief. But to you, we're all communists or Nazis. No, you are socialists. I would never call anyone a communist or Nazi who wasn't one. A Communist or Nazi is an ideological totalitarian. Socialists, of the right or left variety, are unwittingly arguing about how fast and what type of totalitarianism will eventually prevail. They will be in conflict and the further the centralization of power the more they will beat up on each other. That's fine. It's masturbation, but it's your business. However, don't apply such simplified beliefs to me, as if they're mine, by using "as you say..." If you please. I quoted what you said in your own words. "Leftists are in profound conflict with one another." I suppose you meant that as a positive attribute of the left. "So diverse among ourselves", kind of thing. You will find that as power is concentrated the conflict becomes even more profound yet the refrain will be, "United we stand" and "we must act for the collective good". It's a profound conflict for the single voice of power. Quote I want to be in the class that ensures the classless society remains classless.
