I was listening to a radio program that suggested that just as saw the crash and failure of communism, we are now witnessing the collapse and failure of capitalism. That a new system will be installed which will be a mixture of the two. I found this interesting, has anyone else heard of this?

Refer back to the thread on Copenhagen and I think it will be clear that's what it's all about - it's not about Climate Change, Global Warming or the Environment......it literally is a Socialist Plot. So many naive tree-huggers have been duped into thinking they are saving the planet.....when in fact they are simply being used to generate some momentum towards taking money from rich countries and moving it to poor countries. Go back and read the draft of Copenhagen principles.....that's what's so frustrating about the tree-huggers - they either don't have a clue as to what Kyoto and Copenhagen are all about - except for the few that actually want this new Global Governance approach where over time, everyone gets dragged down to the lowest common denominator. Instead of a rising tide lifting all boats, Copenhagen does the opposite.

Read Marshall McLuhan. It is much more than a simple switch from one economic setup to another - or a mix - it is more about a redefinition of 'economics' altogether starting with the concept of 'value.'

As an illustration of this, ask yourself how much you value the definitions of communism, socialism and captialism with regard to your experience and knowledge of these systems at work in the world. Can anyone remain an ideologue and still be worth listening to?
