A trailer full of gifts donated to Peel's Toys for Tots annual campaign was swiped Sept. 26 from an industrial area near Rexdale Blvd. and Bethridge Rd., police said. The toys were surplus from last year's collection and were to be used to kick-start this year's campaign before being distributed to some of the 7,000 children helped annually, said the Salvation Army's Capt. John Murray.

This is truly sad indeed. What kind of a person would steal from children in this manner. Society is defiantly going down hill when people would choose to steal Christmas toys from children. Unfortunately the thieves probably do not care what's in the things they steal as long as they can sell it for drugs or otherwise is all that matters to these people. Those poor, poor children.
