Remiel Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 Dancer, you should really delve into the concept of Godwin's law... cuz really.. Say I agree with animal rights laws, and I commend nazi germany for PIONEERING animal rights.... doesn that make me a nazi? because then by your definition: all peta members are nazis (while actually, most of them are marxists) Two things: Godwin's law is a description of the likelihood of a Nazi comparison. It is not a description of its validity. That, I was not aware that Jeremy Bentham was a Nazi. Quote
jackson Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 Weird, no one is talking about what really happened at the Smoke Shop. A year ago Ernie had invited Mr. Powless to set up the shop. He had visited Powless many times at another shop to say that he should come to his land and set up. Ernie wanted to be bought out by the province or feds. He figured pushing the issue like this at the negotiating table would bring Plank Road/Highway 6 claim into the limelight and at the same time force the government to buy him out like the former DCE lands. Powless and Ernie were good friends for a couple years before all this started. Powless was there by invitation. Ernie has since withdrawn that invitation after the lawsuit and weird push/pull friend/fo relationship he has had with the OPP and Art/Melt team. Powless isn't there terrorizing Ernie, this was a mutual agreement. Their relationship is currently strained due to an apparent change of plans on Ernie's fault. Ernie does not like Fleming or his militia turned peace keepers, he has seen how they interfere with matters. He has watched for 3 years as the 'circus of media tigers' (as Ernie called them) try to attention to run their racist agenda. Ernie constantly pointed that out and even asked the OPP why they weren't doing something about Fleming and his friends. Quote
madmax Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 Why should this Farmer be any different then the Land Developers who line up at the trough.... IF its good enough for Jane Stewarts connections to the developers, and its good enough for developers connected to the Ontario Liberals... then.. hey why not toss a farmer a bone on the way to the Lottery. IIRC other developers have appreciated some protestors on their land, hoping for a buyout... especially now with some things going down the drink. Fleming and McHale are goofs, with a just handful of idiots behaving like tails after aquiring his 15 minutes of fame. They are a non story.f Quote
