(Agreeing not to bring down the coalition for 18 months) Then in English, we have the Prime Minister arguing to the rest of Canada that the Liberal/NDP Coalition is giving the Bloc a veto? Moonbox Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 The Bloc will still hold the veto. I doubt there's any reasonable way to make whatever agreement they sign legally enforceable. When your political responsibility (legally speaking) is to look after the well being of Canadians/Quebecquers, how can ou sign a binding agreement that that basically waives that right/responsibility? The whole thing just doesn't work out. The fact that the Bloc 'signed' something, however, obviously does a lot to reassure Liberal/NDP'ers who don't know how wet the piece of paper will be that they sign on.
