FixerPop Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 You're gonna love (or hate) this one. #1. Obviously, Duceppe and the Bloc #2. Dion, a Quebec resident, and the Leader of the Liberal party that they themselves do not want. #3. Michelle Jean, the GG, originally from Haiti, a Quebec resident, and... wait for it... with ties to the Quebec Separatists! (Google it if you don't believe me.) Canada, is somebody standing on guard for thee? Quote
BC_chick Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 How about the Albertan separatists? Oh no, they speak English, I forgot, they're okay. Smallc Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 (edited) So in your mind, coming for Quebec makes you evil....even when you the Vice Regal of Canada or when your the author of the Clarity Act? Edited December 3, 2008 by Smallc Quote
FixerPop Posted December 3, 2008 Author Report Posted December 3, 2008 How about the Albertan separatists? Oh no, they speak English, I forgot, they're okay. Well, now that was a quick foot-in-mouth. You forget there are French people in the country other than Quebecers. Just goes to show how much air time the PQ and Bloc get. They are called the Metis, they speak French, and some do live in Alberta! Oh, as well as other Canadian Provinces and even States. Your assignment, Jim, if you decide to take it... Quote
guyser Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 Your assignment, Jim, if you decide to take it... ..is to get a clue. Quote
FixerPop Posted December 3, 2008 Author Report Posted December 3, 2008 So in your mind, coming for Quebec makes you evil....even when you the Vice Regal of Canada or when your the author of the Clarity Act? Slow! The connection is SEPARATISM and the desire of some from Quebec, not all, some, to separate Canada. Good try, but no 'gar. Quote
FixerPop Posted December 3, 2008 Author Report Posted December 3, 2008 ..is to get a clue. Sho am glad someone in here has humour, cuz it sho is lacking these days. Quote
Smallc Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 desire of some from Quebec, not all, some, to separate Canada. That doesn't apply in the case of the Governor General (despite what some say) and it certainly doesn't apply in the case of the author of the Clarity Act. Some people in all provinces desire separation. It just happens to be a little stronger and with a louder voice in Quebec. Quote
speaker Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 I just assumed that this was about the Alliance party, the old reform, the progressive, the conservatives, and those terrible Bloc supporters that the Conservatives relied on for so long in earlier parliaments. Quote
Fortunata Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 #1. Harper. He can't help himself. #2. Flaherty. Wouldn't we love to see the books. #3. Baird. I thought pit bulls were banned in Ontario. Quote
