Oleg Bach Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 Took out the trusty old dictionary this morning and searched for the word RUBE. It defines a farmer or a rustic- a person that is not sophisticated. So I looked up un-sophisticated. By definition it meant a person that is not corrupt. A person that is unadulterated. A person that is not very skilled in artifice...in other words an honest person. Supposedly there is a sense of superiourity in some of the members that is un-warranted. If there are members that are of great sophistication - who are corrupt - who are dishonest and who are not pure AND are are highly accomplished liars - then to the contray that would make me the higher one one the food chain. It would allow me to take the position of superiority. It must be a case of principle and of general good behaviour. I have met sophisticated persons and it appeared they judged intelligence by the benchmark on who believes their lies and who does not. Example - If I lie to you and you believe me - you are stupified - dumb. I witnessed this attitude in governement and within the judical system. This deed based in deception seemed to be practiced by those who IMAGINED themselves to be the elite. If a person was a Rube - it was ok to abuse him - If a person was sophisiticated you did not abuse him as much - this mentality is akin to kicking a dog and getting away with it because the dog does not have the language skill to articulate the abuse to the pubic at large - put in another way - you show respect for the dog with sharp teeth - I gained the respect of the court..because the Rube is of superiour mind and spirit. Rubes (grow food) Sophisticates are parasites..who lie to get food. Quote
kimmy Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 You're definitely a rustic, Oleg... -k Quote (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Friendly forum facilitator! ┬──┬◡ノ(° -°ノ)
Oleg Bach Posted November 25, 2008 Author Report Posted November 25, 2008 You're definitely a rustic, Oleg... -k I wanted to attend university but got side tracked. For a rustic - I am an accomplished painter of fine original work - I am a pretty good composer and recording artist - give me the backers and a good copyist and I will write you a symphony...I can also hold my own in a room full of lawyers - that's not THAT rustic - my friend. BUT I can gain the friendship of street people and can still do a lounge gig with a piano and guitar in a dump or an upscale venue...but I don't bother because most audiences are not sophisticated.. Human Rights Tribunal? Ha ha - Thats where the Supreme Court sends you as they recyle your ass downwards into the sewer you began in...there are no human rights - but there are dog rights And the more you give dogs human rights the more we are treated like dogs....I would never sue..............it's a life sucking vampiristic ritual and the plaintiff is usually left an empty shell and a former shadow of himself ------------it's corrupt from top to bottom. Sir Bandelot Posted November 30, 2008 Report Posted November 30, 2008 Thought you said you were raised by an old potato farmer from Ukraine. Quote
Oleg Bach Posted November 30, 2008 Author Report Posted November 30, 2008 I was raised by an an officer and a professional political brain washer...which explains why I have no respect for the good guys or the bad guys....You knew that the potatoe farmer thing would insult. My dad would make your dad look like a carrot merchant. Quote
AngusThermopyle Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 You knew that the potatoe farmer thing would insult. Whats wrong with potatoe farmers? I like potatoes and appreciate people growing them for me to eat. Quote I yam what I yam - Popeye

Oleg Bach Posted December 5, 2008 Author Report Posted December 5, 2008 Don't you mean they "are" sophisticated? They certainly aren't rubes - you are the rube, remember! So I play both sides of the fence - This rube can attend an art opening and sit with the best of them - or I can hold the hand of a crack addicted aging stripper and make her weep in gratitute...If you are capable of charm that is generated out of love you are more than sophisticated...the capcity to love and put hate aside maybe Rubish to some but it's ancient class - For instance...when English nobles were refered to as "Your Grace" - It mean that the noble (generous one) was behaving with real class - because the word GRACE orignally means "The UNDESERVED mercey of God" -----in Rubalanguage that means you show the same respect and care for the wicked and the good - for the strong and the weak - for the rich and the poor - that is class! It means you are graceful and in a state of grace - who amongst us will grant kindness to those you hate? Not many...This is the Christian base for corporate democracy - The Queen has Grace...and soon Canada will learn to have it. Quote
reasonoverpassion Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 Essentially its an American idea. The purity of the common self made man. The frontiersman who educated himself in the wilderness away from the corruption of the old world or the dangerous Eastern cities. It finds expression in the image of Dubya. Here's a guy as blueblood New Englander as you can get, posing as simple "rube" from Crawford, Texas. Maybe Sarah Palin, the outsider Alaskan who some to clean up the moral corruption of Washington. Do people who live away from cities, or lack formal education have more virtue than those who do? Does any group have a corner on virtue? Quote
