madmax Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 I have no idea what you are referring to. The emoticons didn't appear. Sorry about that. I believe the riding that you contested, and came a close 2nd in, was merged into another riding by the next election. So, that riding described in Wiki as an NDP stronghold at the time, was changed to prevent you from VICTORY I said it would help if the Greens had an elected government somewhere in Canada to give evidence of their ability not to get into deficit. I have seen evidence of NDP, Liberals, PC and Conservative governments who have balanced budgets but not a Green one yet. Well, sustainable budgets and balanced budgets are not the same beast. I thought you were suggesting GP anywhere in the world. I was thinking something a little smaller then a Government. Like a seat. I thought of your seat, where you nearly won. And then I checked the riding, saw it had been rejigged, and guessed that might be what the old riding you ran in changed into. I then thought you could help out this GP cause be voting for them. Then I posted their last candidates votes. Hmm, I don't see it happening anytime soon there. Just having fun. Sorry for het cfusnion the confusion. Quote

So, that riding described in Wiki as an NDP stronghold at the time, was changed to prevent you from VICTORY Certainly the NDP cabinet minister who had called the riding home at the time wasn't interested in running again. I was asked to run in Point Douglas but not in the riding you think. The riding was the Point Douglas city riding where an acquaintance of mine ran in 1989 and won. I'm wondering if the people of that riding are wishing they had better option than that on who to vote for. That councillor later got into a controversy about devoting time to repairing motorbikes and not working at his city job. In any event, I was not available to run in 1989 or 1990. I work working for the Japanese government. Well, sustainable budgets and balanced budgets are not the same beast. I thought you were suggesting GP anywhere in the world. It is hard to judge the Greens on sound financial management until they have been seen in action. The Greens in Manitoba have made Liberal infighting look mild. Their policies on the provincial level have been all over the place. On the federal level, I have thought Greens were dominated a little heavily by former PCs who I don't trust to run things financially. Quote
