Yeah, I know. It obviously wasn't overwhelming but I knew it would raise some peoples fur...lol.

I can't help it. I like jabbing people in the ribs sometimes , just for effect really.

It's my personality I cannot help it haha.

It's really just rubbing the left wingers nose in the fact that we won for a change. Been waiting a while, ya know.

I hear you though, I should act my age and stop being a jerk like I am sometimes.

Criticism taken and accepted.

Thank you.

One of those token coloured people in the Reform/Alliance caucus is Nina Grewal (Fleetwood Port Kells). She represents a riding where English as a spoken language is a minority and Punjabi is the dominant riding. The only reason this party won in that riding is due to the candidate being of Punjabi origin. The same is true in other ridings (like Calgary Northeast or Edmonton Sherwood) where they now have a person of Punjabi origin elected.

S'funny. If I pointed at some "coloured" MP from the Liberal or NDP camp, and said "The only reason they were put in that riding by the Liberals is as a token coloured MP so all the coloureds would vote for him" everyone would scream about what a racist statement I'd just made. Yet you just made exactly that statement, while quivering with self-righteous liberal indignation. You're also completly affirming the original poster's statement about ethnics voting for "their own kind" and you're too blind stupid to even understand how hysterically hypocritical you are.

Argus, haven't you learned by now that the Liberals count how many minorities everyone has whereas the conservatives don't believe in counting them as we are all human.

The Liberals see a person of colour, an angle they can play, a political opportunity. The conservatives just see a fellow Canadian.

I notice that "Sindhu" hasn't yet given a reply. I suspect that he's fled back to "rabble.ca" where he will no doubt feel more comfortable.
