NDP Newbie Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 The right-wing pro-China pan-Blue Coalition has fielded a ticket consisting of a delusional Chinese guy who beats his wife and cheats on his taxes (Lien Chan, aspiring president) and a fascist who was routinely involved in censorship and in the suppression of democracy activists during the 1970s. (James Soong, aspiring VP) Both candidates are not real Taiwanese. The cente-left pro-Taiwan pan-Green Coalition has fielded a former human rights lawyer (Chen Shui-bian, incumbent president) and a democracy activist in the 1970s and 1980s. (Annette Lu, incumbent VP). Both candidates are Taiwanese The Pan-Blue Coalition is supported by big business, people in Taiwan who benefit from their history of corrupt patrongage, the Chinese Communist Party, the Republican Party, the DLC, and Jacques Chirac. The Pan-Green Coalition is supported by an array of progressive and non-corrupt conservative interests, as well as most NGOs, who are concerned about the Pan-Blue/Kuomintang history of human rights violation. Hopefully the Hakka and the Aboriginals wake the Hell up this year and crush the Cult of Chiang once and for all. Quote
Pellaken Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 the president of south korea was just impeached for being left wing or something. Quote
NDP Newbie Posted March 13, 2004 Author Report Posted March 13, 2004 The people there don't seem to pleased about it though. The right's gonna get slaughtered. Quote
legamus Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 i think the korean guy got impeached because he publicly stated which party he was leaning towards in up-coming parliamentary elections and i guess he isn't allowed to do that in his position. he then refused to apologize which infuriated the legislature. Pellaken Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 I dunno, seems to me the legislature tried to do what they did to clinton Quote
NDP Newbie Posted March 14, 2004 Author Report Posted March 14, 2004 Actually, this sounds even more innane. I have other problems with Clinton, but they're from the left, not from the right. Quote
