Drea Posted July 9, 2008 Report Posted July 9, 2008 I live in NB genius. That was the only part of that post worth responding to. I bet when you talk you have a cool "granny" accent. Awesome! I love accents. Quote ...jealous much? Booga Booga! Hee Hee Hee
segnosaur Posted July 9, 2008 Report Posted July 9, 2008 Why denigrate Albertans? For the same reason I denigrate those who live out in the upper Fraser Valley -- they think they are the only people on the planet with "family values" and "morals"... everyone else is an immoral heathen. Tell me, is that any worse than your average Liberal or NDPer, claiming that the conservatives don't care about the poor or about the environment, just because they don't subscribe to the same set of policies? but my stepfather was a real cowboy and he wore runners and a baseball cap... Just out of curiosity, what exactly is your definition of a "cowboy"? I would say that BC'ers have more in common with Californians than say, Ontarians or Albertans. Keep in mind that while California is one of the more liberal-oriented states, they still are in the U.S., and as such they'd probably still end up being far to the political right of B.C. in many ways (remember, this is the state that elected Arnold.) And remember, BC voters have elected relatively right-wing parties in the past. And in the last federal election, the conservatives did win more ridings than both the Liberals and the NDP. If BC were so different from conservative-dominated Alberta, why have not the green party or NDP decimated the opposition? Quote
