Prime Minister Stephen Harper painted himself as a Quebec nationalist today as he took part in annual Fete Nationale celebrations.

I never thought I would see an English speaking PM paint himself as a Quebec nationalist while ignoring the more important concept of Canadian nationalism.

When is the last time you have heard a federal politician identify himself/herself as a Canadian nationalist or one that believes in Canadian nationalism?

Nationalism creates an identity.
