Immigration changes unfair, critics charge

One Tory commented that the Libs had 50,000 at the beginning of Chretien term and when the tories took it over they were 800,000. The reasoning for that is everyone now wants to come to Canada because of our healthcare, besides the fact they may have family here. If the Tories start to fast track people through how many "terrorists" could get in. Perhaps, Harper wants more mexicans in to take up the lower level jobs and help Bush out, and to help with the NAU come to be in the future.

When you bring in one wild eyed and hateful so-called Muslim into the country - that is one too many. Also when you have immigrants from China - cheering in a positive manner for that embarrassment that is the Olypics - then that is one too many from China...I hear over and over again how we need more people to stimuplate the econmomy - that's such bull crap..tell me how more people will bring more riches and general prosperity to the average Canadian? It's not happening and will never happen - for instance trade with that cess pool of a robot nation - China - only benefits a minute group...the rest of us will get a little bit poorer with the addiction of every new immigrate invader...I have seen the looks of hate on some of the Muslims - I have seen the contempt for the blue eyed devils by those indoctrinated under Mao..who now live here...old creeps that stop on a city street in a robotic egalitarian manner and pick up a piece of garbage as if we live in a communal ant hill and they are the new stewards of Canada.

Where is it carved in stone that more people are neccessary ----my parents made a run for it during WW2 - Enlgand gave them shelter..after the collapse of Russia and all of Europe..then they came to Canada - NOW if there is this type of grand scale mayhem afoot..then maybe we will rescue some and grant santurary - but just don't come here to feed off the infastructure that my father and your grandfather put in place. I say bring on a protectionist policy and guard us from the invaders ...firstly arrest and detain the goofy guys that are instigating immagration for profit at the expense of us who are now the indiginous populace via time - to hell with them..save ourselves them we can think about saving others..we are in trouble..there will be a collapse of the American Empire in time...and we had better develope a protectionist attitude now and not latter.

Yes, and when your parents came here there wasn't free (expensive) health care. I really don't see why the doors are open to the parents and grandparent (!) of recent immigrants, especially when we are entering a period when the boomers are going to retire and we are going to enter a severe economic downturn for close to a generation.

I am the proverbial canary in the gold mine. I have already adapted to a no money situation and if it was not for my artistic, musical and entertainment skills...I would be a 58 year old guy sleeping on a grate...also if I had listened to the early liberal social engineers and aborted my children as requested I would have no personal support system. The reason that the Queen let my father into England and eventually were allowed to go into Canada was because of his ancient orthodox Christian back ground...real pragmatic and noble Christians made excellent citizens and contributed fairly in the building of a truely civil society...there is now a difference..those coming here and to England are not dedicated to the service of their fellow human beings. They come here and are quickly secularized and sell out their doctrines and beliefs...all for a cheezey house in some creepy utilitarian subdivision and in effect become renters to the banks.

The mentality is prominently one of self service and barbarity. We as children would never ever consider undermining another family for profit. We fed the poor when they came to the door and did not create a welfare sub class that was stigmatized and embarrassed...systemically crippling them socially and economically as is done today. NOW that I am facing the fact that I am aging...and I thank God for my fine genetics....I maybe 58 but I have the body of a 40 year old..I will surive no matter what...primarily because of my pragmatic and ancient belief system and unwavering faith in cosmic order and goodness (God) - what we have now entering the nation are parasites and preditors that will feast on the baby boomer as they weaken..all I can do is advocate and act in a diplomatic manner...and create peace -BUT - because of my up bringing, I am also a very crafty and able warrior when and if necessary.

I blame our buisness elite for this betral economically and socially of the baby bloomers - or boomers..we are the surviors through birth of the last great REAL war..not this silly Iraqi and Afghanistinian hysteria perpetrated on the populace by corrupt privateers in Washington and now in Ottawa...we will surive...dispite the bad and selfish behaviour of the sons of the gangsters that took over our nation....What bothers me about our buisness elite...young and old is that they gave up the FAITH that made Canada - Britain and the USA great nations...that they went international with their power mongering and greed...I know for a fact when the developers around Toronto raped the Oak Ridge moraine where I grew up - it was out of sheer greed..when they ran out of customers to sell their suburban cubicals too...they lobbied Ottawa for more immigration...not because we needed more - it was because these Mediterianian sewer pipe builders...were not happy with one Van Gough on the wall - they wanted four.

Blame the mafia - and blame our judicary for offering them protection - and blame our old Bay Street boys for this decay through power and greed. My job as a boomer is to educate the young - and to out live the bastards that stole and sold my future...and who now plan to take the future from my offspring. I will out live them all through the grace of goodness and God. IMMIGRATION...is not based on good social policy - but on greed and abuse that the bored rich have embraced and now amuse themselves by abusing us in a very uncivilized and sadistic manner - control is now the measure of their success..domestically and internationally. One major problem..they do not have vison or creative abilty - just control over our institutions and money supply. I have tried to reason with one man that I unfortuneately knew - HE IS TO PROUD TO CHANGE AND ADMIT THAT HE MADE A MESS OF THE NATION - AND FRANKLY HE DOES NOT GIVE A DAMN...if this type were loyal to the nation that granted them wealth and privledge..there would be evidence of their benevolence - there is none!

Immigrant activists opposed to controversial immigration reforms issued a warning to the federal Liberals today – vote against the Conservative government's proposed changes or lose political support from new Canadians[ who fear the bill discriminates against certain ethnic groups.

The ongoing furor over changes to Immigration and Refugee Protection Act brought some 100 protesters outside Liberal MP Bob Rae's Toronto constituency office to ratchet up the political pressure.

"If you're not going to support our issues as an immigrant population, we're not going to vote for you anymore," said Mohamed Boudjenane, executive director of the Canadian Arab Federation.

Critics of the amendments fear they would put too much power in the hands of Immigration Minister Diane Finley and, that by tying them to the budget bill, the government is pushing the reforms into law without adequate debate.

The budget bill is entering third reading, and so far, the Liberals have yet to vote against it – doing so would trigger an election.

Two interesting notes gleaned from the internet. First, the Arab Federation guy quoted above is a member of the NDP and former candidate for the provincial NDP.

And the protest was held outside Bob Rae's HQ - by the Canadian Arab Federation - which distributed flyers at the leadership conference urging Liberals not to vote for Rae because his wife was a Jew.

The thing I don't understand is that many of these new immigrants are far more conservative then the CPC could ever be yet they vote liberal and NDP. They do not support gay marriage neither Sikh nor Muslim support that but they vote for it. Those two religions as a whole are conservative so they vote against there own morals for some reason or another.

And another thing. These changes are unfair to whom exactly? People who aren't even citizens of this country? Sorry but non citizens don't get to make or comment on policy of another country.
