Pliny Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 Because of course, all of you lusting to put Castro on trial were just as vocal about putting Suharto on trial, right?Face it - just like some leftists give Castro a free pass because he was socialist, you give other dictators a free pass when they're allied with Washington, and pay more attention to the crimes of others when they oppose Washington. When they oppose Washington? Yeah when they start blowing things up and/or American investment in the country is threatened I suppose their free pass would be revoked. No one gives a free pass to adversaries. Why would you even suggest that is rational? Quote I want to be in the class that ensures the classless society remains classless.
Borg Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 (edited) Now that Fidel Castro has stepped down. Is it not time for him to face the International Court for crimes against humanity. Over 100,000 Cubans were murdered by this man for not supporting his Socialist/Marxist ideals. Let him rot in jail. Now, now - did you not know there are many here who have touted him as a benevolent leader? Margrace is one. Margrace? Where are you my dear? Perhaps you might want to tell rbacon how well the Cuban folk were treated? rbacon - you are wasting your time - someone will always find a way to hijack your thread and turn it into an anti American / anti Bush thing. Topaz? Topaz? You out there? Want to answer the question? Oops - sorry you want to turn it into American bashing - nothing new here folks - lets move along. Oleg? Oleg? Oh, sorry aren't you the fellow who does not file taxes and cannot find a job and wants someone to support him? Oh, sorry - wrong guy. You just want to bash the Americans as well. jb globe - stop talking common sense - someone might actually listen and then we would be in real trouble. Charles - it almost appears that you were lurking to hammer the originator - as with Dancer I am wondering about the reposting issue - perhaps as a quote? Whatever his transgression it seemed pretty minor to me - did not even notice it. Whew - this is one screwed up topic folks. Now to answer the question: rbacon - it might be so - however it will never happen as there is no real momentum to do so. He will simply die and we will send flowers and the governor general to his funeral. Borg Edited February 27, 2008 by Borg Quote
