Keepitsimple Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 (edited) Honest question.....I tuned in to Question Period and it looked to me like at least half of the Liberal seats were empty. Everyone was present from the Bloc, NDP and Conservatives. It was mentioned on Mike Duffy - he noted that they didn't even move everyone down around the leader so at least it would look like there were more people for the TV cameras.......but I saw nothing in the Sun or the Star this morning - as if it wasn't a big deal. I would think this should be a huge deal. First day back, all opposition parties should be chomping at the bit to take whacks at the Government - it's traditional, if not deserved. Karen Redmond, the party whip, said that some were sick and others were still working in their ridings - pretty lame seeing as the other parties had no problems. To me, it looked really bad - especially after coming out of a supposed "uniting" policy convention. Is something going on...or is this just poor party discipline? eyeball Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 Maybe the Liberals have given up, but I bet they'll be there in spades tomorrow. In any case, who needs them? We should be using the technology of the Internet to represent ourselves yet we still employ the same horse and buggy system of the 19th century. We have exactly the government we deserve. Quote I said now watch what you say they'll be calling you a radical, a liberal, oh fanatical criminal

Probably trying to lobby a senate seat - cash for life. Borg Quote
