no queenslave Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 Gathering support for the weapon against all the bad publicity. Why did't the manufacture demonstrate how safe his product is suppose to be by having 2 tasers shock him multiple times? Not willing to be dead wrong. Quote

margrace Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 The man who owns the company that manufactures Tasers was on the news last week. He stated that tasers were perfectly safe and anyone can buy them in the US provided they want them only for self defense. Seems the same argument is used for guns, doesn't stop criminals from getting them does it? Quote

FTA Lawyer Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 It really is simple to convince me that Tasers are as safe as the manufacturer suggests...that is, "safer than Tylenol." Shoot your mom with a Taser in a live televised demonstration. See, 'cause I'd give my mom a Tylenol any old time, but there's no way in hell I'd shoot her with a Taser. Does that mean I'm an abusive son? No. It means Tasers are not safer than Tylenol. Maybe that's why Tylenol is sold on the shelf in every grocery store in the country, and Tasers are Prohibited Weapons. FTA P.S. I asked a young RCMP officer who was wearing a Taser in court about a year ago whether he had been shot by one to see what it was like (the same way they train for use of pepper spray). He responded NO...they stopped doing that because... And then he stopped talking (when he remembered he was talking to a lawyer) and walked away. Things that make you go hmmmmmmmm? Quote

bush_cheney2004 Posted December 1, 2007 Report Posted December 1, 2007 (edited) Tazers are being marketed to women in the USA to use for protection. They can buy Smith & Wesson Ladysmiths too...perfectly legal. Tasers are just long range stun guns, which were also marketed heavily in the late 1980's. snap...snap...snap...ZOT!! no queenslave Posted December 1, 2007 Author Report Posted December 1, 2007 Tazers are being marketed to women in the USA to use for protection. Is it safer than the pill? do they use it before , during or after ? Protection with a a little charge- don't get too excited. Quote

Things that make you go hmmmmmmmm? thats a stupid statement. cigarrettes, alcohol and automobiles are sold and they cause a billion times more deaths then tasers. as for being tasered in training, its voluntary for some forces, mandatory in others. anybody that wants to use the taser, in my belief shoudl be tasered so that they can articulate its effects and use in court. but then again ive been electrocuted a half dozen times, taser included just for fun. see mom, no side effects. To promote responsible ownership and prevent misuse, the TASER C2 will function only after the owner completes a background check. *Purchasers must be 18 years or older. TASER C2 cartridges have a unique serial number and are equipped with Anti-Felon Identification tags, allowing police to track a potential misuse. These AFID tags are dispersed upon deployment. link I certainly think they're a better option than a gun. Edited December 1, 2007 by American Woman Quote

Guest American Woman Posted December 1, 2007 Report Posted December 1, 2007 where is your link? Where it says "link." Now do you have a link or not? As I said, I can't find any source to back up your claims, so it would be nice if you provided links. Quote
