  1. It's a form of micro-aggression. And unless this site has adopted the UC Berkeley policy on micro-aggressions, I doubt reporting will do anything.
  2. Did I ever mention the time I came out as asexual to my parents? The first one denied that I was asexual, the second one denied the existence of asexuality. Denial of asexuality or dismissing asexuality is the biggest issue asexual people face. Cybercoma, you have done this twice in this thread. Once by using the LGBTIQ acronym instead of LGBTQIA, and the second by denying my sexual orientation.
  3. I am asexual. Wow, now you are denying my sexuality. Pretty sure this classifies as micro-aggression.
  4. What are these suspicions?
  5. You should tell that to the feminists and their feminist safe spaces. Specifically, I would like to see you tell Anita Sarkeesian this. No. But if I were a professor at Berkeley, I might not get that promotion... Because disagreeing with someone isn't silencing them. Please inform the SJW of this.
  6. Doesn't matter. Micro-aggression is all about what the victim feels and one can commit micro-aggression unintentionally. And I feel totally micro-aggressioned right now! Do you need to read the Berkeley manual again? Telling a man to take responsibility has been used historically in the same context as one would tell a man to man up or grow balls. Insult and denigrate women? What kind of nonsense is this? Look, I understand you have to believe in a nonsense false dichotomy to perpetuate your belief in the SJW ideology, but really? 3rd-wave feminists and SJWs are an obstacle to achieving gender egalitarianism, not to mention their ideology is just plain wrong. Now they are trying to eliminate free speech by controlling universities, media, etc. Do you say the same thing to feminists that start campaigns such as HeforShe where the premise is that it's up to men to achieve gender equality for women? Do you tell women in Saudi Arabia that the reason they aren't allowed to drive is because women's rights organizations in Saudi Arabia have focused too much energy on attacking Islamists? Allocating 100% of the agency to males is a traditionalist concept and part of traditionalist gender roles. I never said conspiracy. I do not believe there is a conspiracy. It's all out in the open, be it people being kicked out of comic conventions, incorrect opinions being removed from universities, grossly biased media reporting on events such as #gamergate, etc.
  7. Because it's about SJW silencing dissenting opinion. Also, I don't mind associating myself with the Honey Badger Brigade since they aren't traditionalists or misogynists. Dismissing my experience is a micro-aggression. You need to check your cisgendered privilege and listen & believe.
  8. Let's see, you are from a power group (SJWs). And you have made comments in this thread that are dismissive of asexuals to an asexual person and refused to correct it. Then you made comments in the other thread that try to impose traditionalist male gender norms on an agendered person. So doesn't that count as micro-aggression?
  9. "take some responsibility", "man up", "be a man", "grow balls". These statements all try to use traditionalist male gender roles to condition my behaviour and ignore men's rights issues. And yes, what you wrote counts as a 'micro-aggression'.
  10. What is GroanerGrunt? 1. All genders have issues that need to be addressed. I don't see why identifying as an MRA or FRA or whatever would help this. I identify as a gender egalitarian. 2. Some MRAs contain traditionalists or misogynists that I don't want to associate myself with.
  11. Now that I think about it, there is going to be a difference between long run and short run labour-supply wage elasticity so my elasticity value is probably too low.
  12. Yes because I support men's rights. Am I an FRA because I support women's rights?
  13. That would be fine it that's all it was. If you are a professor and it is a relevant topic, you don't need to tell the class your opinion on the topic to discuss the topic. If you are a professor and it isn't a relevant topic, then you shouldn't go off topic. In both cases, the professor is being unprofessional. The problem arises if a faculty member or student holds an opinion such as 'the most qualified person should get the job' and the university threatens disciplinary action against those having such opinions. Maybe they write the comment on a blog or on facebook or something.
  14. When did I ever claim to identify as an MRA? I did say I support men's rights, just like I support women's rights and the rights of gender non-binary individuals, but that is different from identifying as an MRA. This is an attempt trying to make me comply with traditionalist gender-roles and is clearly a micro-aggression. People try, but they don't get financial support, get misrepresented by SJW/3rd-wave feminists and eventually the owners commit suicide. http://womenspost.ca/owner-of-shelter-for-abused-men-and-children-commits-suicide-after-financial-ruin-ridicule/ 1. Non-SJW groups be it MRAs, #gamergate or whatever have received death threats, been doxed, etc. 2. Just because a SJW claims harassment is from an MRA, doesn't mean it is. On the internet, there are these things called trolls. You may have heard of them. Of course to a SJW, whatever they feel is true or whatever fits their narrative the best must be true; skepticism and doubt don't enter the equation for them. 3. People being misogynistic does not mean they are MRAs.
  15. Harass? They were there to meet fans and sell merchandise. They did politely answer some questions from a mainstream feminist, though that wasn't their purpose for being there. Though I guess politely answering questions counts as harassment to a mainstream feminists since it is invading their feminist safe space where they are supposed to be protected from dissenting opinions.
  16. Social conservative dogma? Where? Is saying that the most qualified person should get the job social conservatism?
  17. If you don't agree with us, we aren't going to silence you or threaten to get you fired. If you disagree, then why not explain why we are wrong about SJW using manipulation of language and Orwellian word association games?
  18. I decided to look at the correlation between health/crime and income distribution using 2012 data from 28 OECD countries. I used life expectancy as my health indicator and the inverse logistic transform of 'how safe people feel' as my crime indicator. Using a constant, the logarithm of GDP per capita and the square of the gini coefficient as explanatory factors I can do population weighted regressions. I found that GDP per capita has a positive and the gini coefficient has a negative effect on health/crime. However, in both cases the magnitude of the effect of the Gini coefficient relative to the magnitude of the effect of GDP per capita was larger than what would be expected if health/crime outcomes were a linear function of my social welfare function (which uses logarithmic utility). This suggests that the crime/health effects of poverty reduction suggest that more income redistribution would be optimal relative to what is determined using my logarithmic social welfare function.
  19. Yes. The debate is over and there is a consensus. Didn't you know?
  20. This happened back in April, but I thought I would make a thread. So honey badger brigade is a group of women that do podcasts about gender issues and other things. They support men's rights and are pro #gamergate. Their members include Alison Tieman (who is a comic artist) and Karen Staughan (who is a fairly well-known men's right activist). They were crowd funded to go to Calgary Expo to meet their fans and sell merchandise. However, after they politely answered some questions from a feminist panel at the expo, they were banned due to harassment complaints and because they did not meet the Calgary Expo mandate of being 'positive and safe for everyone'. Here are the horrible misogynistic comments by Alison Tieman. Make up your own mind: Oh no! She doesn't like perpetuating the idea that women are victims! The horror and misogyny! Shortly after they were kicked out, they tried to meet up with fans in a park, but the police were called on them. http://dailycaller.com/2015/04/22/behind-calgary-comic-cons-freeze-out-of-the-honey-badger-brigade/ Not only that, the Calgary expo refuses to give back Honey Badger Brigade they money that they paid for to have a booth at the event even though they were unjustly banned. Calgary expo has also changed its story on why they banned them many times. Needless to say, Honey Badger Brigade is considering legal action. http://www.reaxxion.com/8156/honey-badgers-to-sue-calgary-expo-over-being-banned-by-anti-gamergate Congrats SJW on banning a bunch of non-heterosexual neuroatypical females that support trans-rights because they don't agree with your SJW narrative.
  21. Is saying that the most qualified individual should get the job being insensitive? I don't think it even boils down to that. If the person being offended is part of a group the SJWs deem 'privileged' then that doesn't matter. Internal consistency is not something the SJW ideology cares about.
  22. And if you dare ask for evidence, or are skeptical, or think there is an alternative explanation for what they have experienced, that is a form of micro-aggression! Yeah TimG. You need to listen and believe more! Thinking is a form of micro-aggression.
  23. Yes. How do neuroatypical people fit into this? This whole thing reeks of neuronormativity!
  24. So if people accidentally attribute that to Voltaire rather than Hall it's a micro aggression?
  25. Is "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it" a micro-aggression?
