The sight of our PM and President Bush together in a meaningful way in Chile Saturday was heart warming... the BSE situation was addressed and hopefully when Mr.Bush comes to Ottawa the softwood lumber situation will be next....I never thought I would say this but I was actually proud of our PM Paul Martin in his handling of that loud mouthed Parrish this week and to see his willingness to work with our greatest friend and ally George Bush... onward and upward my fellow Canadians... things are the way they should be...now lets start getting together with our American brothers and sisters and build that NA missile defense shield..... and so far as all of you Bush hating protesters are concerned just play safe.... watch out for the tear gas and do'nt get hit in the eye with any rubber bullets now.........

Since this is an NDP topic I was just wondering if that just maybe there is outside forces infulencing this party and its policies.... I'm just speculating here but the one thing they seem to be adament about is the NA missle shield and its flawed logic as to why they are against it.... the weaponization of space is going to happen eventually anyway and I would be alot more comfortable knowing that we are up there first and not at the mercy of somebody else...whos best interest are we looking out for here.. whos purposes would best be served for us to not take that first step..... maybe I'm just being paranoid here but I can't help but think that there is some validness to this concept....

Parrish is nothing but a grandstander... her insulting demeanour is rather embarrassing and sheds a dim light on all of us... to publicly call out and insult the leader of our country is nothing short of a disgrace... this I hate everybody who has a different view than I attitude that seems to be emanating out of eastern Canada makes our country look rather weak and I believe is a sign of deep insecurity that seems to plague that part of the country... I am in no way a Martin supporter but the disrespect she has shown the leader of our country is unforgivable in my books... the high road would be to just ignore this oaf but I think she has gone too far this time.....

Transplants is probably not the right term and I am sorry if it insulted you and other new citizens.... if you go back far enough we all ended up here through migration either personally or through our forefathers just looking for a better life and I certainly welcome all newcomers(pioneers) and wish them the best....

Our city foresure has its problems but your misinformation about something as trivial as our sports teams is consistant with many transplants views.. I do'nt know nor care about where you come from or how these other places are somehow so much better than my hometown, I'm not saying this as any kind of slight it is just the way it is and when Calgarians show our bone deep and sincere pride in our city I think these transplants become somewhat insulted, it is not meant to be an insult or taken that way brother it is just a fact of life, like the fact that we do have very, very good lives living here and it is well appreciated..... Does our planets changing axis factor into anything, how about the position of our planet on our orbit around the sun, or the suns changing activity... this CO2 increase above long term trends(400 million years) would be interesting, could you please relay some numbers..... everybody seems to jumping on board with this "the arctic is melting trend" without really understanding what is really involved, it is certainly politically advantageous for certain people to be pushing this theory through, all I am trying to do is get all of the facts available and come up with an informed opinion...

I was wondering how much CO2 is produced and put into our atmosphere by natural causes.. and if a naturally warming climate helps to increase these naturally occuring CO2 emissions..... and what is the impact of deforestation and the amount of CO2 released by this as opposed to fossil fuel emissions... I tend to agree with the previous concern in that politics is also at work here..my person opinion is that from the little I have read on the subject is that these scientists really do'nt know anything other than climate change does occur and will occur again and then they offer their opinions based on what they think.... ask any scientist this question, is the increase of CO2 in our atmosphere the byproduct of a warming climate or is it the cause, they do not have that answer... and if someone else can answer this question would you please do so and back it up with a link.....

Ralph Klein should run for PM, he is a nationalist like the vast majority of Albertans and I think would have the entire country's well being in mind instead of this regionalized crap we have to put up with when dealing with our current Federal government and its politicians...

What percentage of CO2 in our atmosphere is the result of the industrial revolution.. I do agree that we should clean up our act in the fossil fuel emission department but this guy still did'nt prove his point with any cold hard facts.... the only problem I have with these types is that they are really just basing this whole climate change CO2 in our atmosphere thing on theory.. climate change is a reality and there is circumstancial evidence saying the Gulf stream shut down in I think the 16 or1700's.. you look at paintings of England from that era and there are many depicting a much different climate than they have today... snow covered scenes and ice... also potraits from America of the river in Washington DC (Patomic spl?), frozen with huge chunks of ice....

If a person is gay I believe they have been hardwired from birth to be that way... this cultural fear we seem to have regarding homosexuals is something that will eventually go away once people finally accept this fact.. I consider myself a christian and I hear that somewhere in the bible it says that homosexuality is a sin.. I have yet to find it.... anyway if you believe in God you have to believe that if he makes a person a certain way he must have had a reason so for us as a society to deny these people their sexuality I believe is a sin..... what two conscenting adults do is nobodies business in my opinion as long as both party's are of age and are of the same species.... if two guys or two girls want to get married then I say let them....

Ralph Klein will go down in history as one of this country's greatest leaders.... our social programs are inline with the rest of this country and all this criticism is mostly sour grapes... here's to another term for Ralph and more years of prosperity for our great province... cheers...

I am a Flames season ticket holder and have been for the last 6 years.. this team did not make the playoffs for 7 staight years... your 15K average only applies for the last 2 years, before that we averaged 16 to 17k... before this team hit the skids we had a 10k waiting list for season tickets... if Edmonton or Vancouver or Ottawa or any other team went through a bad 7 year run like we did here I dare to say they would'nt be averaging 15k like we did, they probably would not have even survived as a franchise... that 15k is above league average in one of its smaller markets and if you honestly assess it our level of support through those bleak years is nothing short of amazing.. and your 8 to 12k per game comment on our Stampeders is just plain wrong, we averaged 30k per this year, and that's also with a very bad football team.... your deluded and obvious negative bias toward our great city is all to familiar.... people who lie about other people must really hate them and I think your deep seated contempt must be born out of jealousy and resentment.... get over it brother....
