  1. Do you not realize what is illustrated when we examine the difference between the degree to which males and females dress religiously in most Muslim societies and families? It shows a much higher standard of expectation towards the females, while the males are not expected to dress "piously" at all. Conversely, you'll not see a religious Jewish family where there is such a disconnect between the standards held by males and females: both are held to the same standard. The point I'm making with the difference in overt religiosity between Muslim males and females is indicative of a prevalent cultural double-standard and misogyny. The same sexist double-standard that permeates Islamic culture leads males to "stray" from their culture much more freely and without fear of consequence than females (unless you're gay, of course), where you can see Muslim males in clubs and bars in Israel, but virtually never a Muslim girl. Can you connect the dots to how this is related to honour-killings in Islamic societies, which only target females, or do you need to me to spoonfeed you a little more?
  2. The only thing that's clear is that you don't grasp the difference between times of war and times of peace. You seem to think the RCMP should've been sent to serve an arrest warrant in Afghanistan, arrest Khadr and advise him of his rights, and then who knows? Nobody has any idea what Canadian "rights" Khadr was entitled to by authority of our constitution after his capture on the battlefield by Americans and subsequent detainment at Gitmo.
  3. It's quite funny, actually, as I bet guyser would self-describe himself as a Canadian that does not sympathize with the plight of Omar Khadr. Although I would also bet that if we asked guyser other questions about the Khadr story, such as... 1 - Do you think Omar Khadr is guilty of murder? 2 - If yes, do you think Omar Khadr should be sentenced to life imprisonment? What sentence would find appropriate for murder? 3 - Do you think Omar Khadr will reform himself, change his Jihadist/Islamist ideology, and become a meaningful and positive contributor to Canada? ...we'd get some typically sympathetic answers. Basically, either guyser is intentionally mischaracterizing Canadian political culture and mainstream opinion based on some misplaced nationalism - lying about Canada and Canadians in order to save face, or, he really just doesn't grasp Canadian political culture and popular opinion.
  4. He stated that we shouldn't accept the filth of the world from barbaric societies, not that all people from barbaric societies are the filth of the world. It's funny how you leftists are so dedicated to misrepresenting words. Or perhaps you're simply incapable of reading English accurately through your ideologically-stained glasses.
  5. I stated that the threat of violence that keeps females in check in Mohammedan families is much more common than the media lets on. Not that it's common in a broad sense. I am specific with my language for a reason. Keep on editorializing, though, as a good leftist does.
  6. So basically, if a Canadian national is among terrorists murdering American, Canadian, and other coalition troops, he or she is entitled to special treatment in a war? He or she can't be killed on the battlefield legally like the non-Canadian terrorists, but should be served with an arrest warrant? Is this a joke? Anyways, Khadr had his day in court, and he gamed the system and will be released on parole in short time. Clearly the judge at Khadr's trial didn't place much value on the life of the American medic that was murdered by this Islamic gutter rat. As I've already said, Khadr will benefit greatly from his crimes once he's released as a free man in Canada, and he will continue advancing the cause of anti-Western Jihad.
  7. He didn't say "everyone". That's your dishonest leftist editorializing.
  8. Plenty of Canada shows sympathy towards Khadr. You can see it in this thread, you can see it in the way socialist/communist politicians from the NDP and LPC called for his repatriation over the years and cried about his "rights" being violated", in the talkback/responses/posts to Canadian articles about the this story online, and the way most of the Canadian media reported on it. It's the same theme, an intent to diminish his responsibility for his crimes as well as misrepresent who Omar Khadr is and what he believes in: he's a "child solider", maybe he isn't really guilty, he was "tortured and abused" at Guantanamo Bay, he's a victim, he can be rehabilitated, etc... It's just lie after lie after lie, and it's coming from a huge segment of Canada. Defending Omar Khadr and politicizing the story was the mainstream Canadian perspective, not the fringe. And it had very little to do with "legalities", aside form absurd references to "international law".
  9. Exactly, especially considering that the benefits the CBC is accusing Quebecor of receiving from the Canadian taxpayer are benefits the CBC receives above and beyond its yearly billion-ish dollar direct transfer. The silence from the Harper government on the issue of the CBC is really aggravating. Perhaps Harper, knowing that Canadian political culture is so far to the left, thinks that it would be politically unwise to make the right move towards disconnecting the CBC from the government. It'd be great to seen the Harper government force the CBC into taking red pill, and disconnecting the CBC from the fantasy matrix in which it currently operates.
  10. It's just a part of broader picture, and it's clear you can't connect the dots on your own and know very little about Arab/Muslim misogyny.
  11. Well said. Multiculturalism as an ideology forces people to operate on the false assumption that all cultures are equal and good in their own ways. It prevents Canada from being able to filter potential immigrants based on more subjective criteria such as: culture. The consequence? Canada imports third-world trash like it's going out of style.
  12. We're not dealing with civilized people, here. Can you imagine sitting down with Hitler and offering him a compromise? "Ok, Herr Hitler, what if we allow you to control 25% of Europe instead of all of it? We've already got the green light from many European countries who are willing to surrender portions of their territory that will total to 25% of Europe. And before you even ask, yes, the territory is contiguous. And as far as the Jewish Question, what if you only murder 75% of them and not all of them? Is that acceptable, Herr Hitler?" By the way, did you read GostHacked response above, where he described the bombings of Dresden and Berlin as "war crimes"? This is typical leftism, where it's better to be dead and a "saint" than alive and a "war criminal". The mentality of the left with respect to these issues is that violence is always wrong. So if I get assaulted by someone with a knife, and I defend my life and kill the assailant, I am not the criminal and the assailant is now the victim. More broadly, America is now the aggressor after it defends itself when attacked.
  13. Here are the "innocent civilians", including the "innocent" women and children (who are also part of the infrastructure of terrorism) that bud is crying crocodile tears over. I find it amusing how bud regularly invoked "children", as if children in Gaza are inherently innocent. Yeah, it's not like 12-year-olds are part of the terrorist network serving as scouts, or 15-year-olds are shooting IDF soldiers, or 17-year-olds blowing themselves up in Israel murdering Jews and other Israelis. Somehow, if you're under 18, you're magically innocent.
  14. I guess the bombings of Dresden and Berlin were also "mass murder". Hiroshima and Nagasaki were "war crimes" too, right? I wish Israel had the political will to actually do what's necessary. You don't negotiate with terrorists, you smash them over an anvil until there's nothing left. Break their backs, crush their hearts, and destroy their homes. Unfortunately, Israel has long subscribed to a policy of appeasement and "humanitarian" concerns, perpetuating the conflict indefinitely and allowing the enemy to hide behind its civilian shields.
  15. Let me help you out, go look up Baruch Goldstein, Bernie Madoff, Roman Polanski, and Bill Surkis. That should give you a little more ammunition in your amusing attempts to portray Jewish communities in a negative light. Oh, before I forget, you can also try to use David Berkowitz as some sort of indicator of how Jews are just as bad as everyone else, including Mohammedans. Because, according to your worldview, all societies and cultures are equal. So I just wanted to give you a few more tools towards advancing that false narrative.
  16. There's no need for DogOnPorch to harp on that, anymore, I agree. Now we can laugh at you for being "sure" that Canada (and other countries other than the USA) sends foreign aid to Israel.
  17. There is obviously no problem with Mohammedans praying on their break time. What's mentioned in the above story is that these Mohammedans did their prayers while still on the clock, above and beyond whatever breaks may be allotted to them. That's obviously unacceptable, and sometimes referred to as "time theft".
  18. It should absolutely not be anyone's "right" to have time off for religious "needs". If a person's religious practises are not compatible with the demands of the job they are seeking, then they should seek another job. Different business have different needs for scheduling, and they should be not be forced to accommodate anyone's "needs" because they are designated as religious. We already have provisions for "reasonable accommodation", anyways.
  19. Absolutely false. Unfortunately, Canadian law does offer "protections" to employees, by abusing employers through obligating them to make "reasonable accommodations" for religious practises. This is quite different than some blanket guarantee that all religious practises be immune for consideration (i.e. a Mohammedan who "needs" to pray two or three times at work) by the employer, without limits.
  20. Why don't you come to Israel and see for yourself the misogyny on display every day. Notice how virtually all the males, of all ages, dress "cool" (i.e. like homosexuals with tight acid-wash jeans and slicked back gelled hair), while all the females, of all ages, are wrapped up as desert nomads (except for the Arab Christians, of course). The most "secular" Muslim female you can find in Israel might be subtle makeup with some fitted jeans, but that is exceedingly rare. That is just on example of the massive disconnect between the expectations and treatment between men and women in "Palestinian" Mohammedan culture. Another small example would be nightlife - you will never see a Muslim woman in a nightclub or bar, but of course, you'll always see Muslim men. These same things are true in Canada, but to a lesser extent, as some assimilation takes place in Canada, whereas virtually no assimilation takes places in Israel. EDIT - You can see it in all Canadian cities with sizeable Mohammedan populations - Ottawa, Toronto, and Montreal as examples. See the disconnect between males and females. The misogyny isn't hard to see. Of course it's much worse among conservative/religious Muslim families than among more modern/secular Muslim families.
  21. If you've a got a point you're trying to make, state it explicitly. You think any Jewish community, secular or religious, has even a shred of the cultural sickness and proclivity towards violence and murder as Muslim communities? What it looks like from here is that you're trying to engage in some sort of infantile pissing contest, where it's some sort of tit-for-tat with you posting a story of a Jewish person murdering another as some sort of counterweight to what's being discussed here: the inferiority, barbarism, and savagery of religious/conservative Islamic society. More broadly, its incompatibility with Canada and the broader West.
  22. What Canada has done in past years with certain minority groups, particularly Mohammedans, is encourage the worst among them to turn their ineptitude into an opportunity to sue. Fire me for incompetence? I'll accuse you of firing me because I'm a Muslim. Terminate me for theft? I'll accuse you of terminating me because I'm a Muslim. This is just a recent Canadian example of a story we've seen many times before. Remember the Muslim girl who sued Abercrombie and Fitch, with the assistance of CAIR and other Islamic PR organization, for religious discrimination because her religious garb (hijab or burka) wasn't acceptable as part of their employee dress code? Then there was the Toronto Muslimah, a young girl, who was incompetent at her simple secretary job, and then she "sued" her employer, and was awarded something like $10K+ by the "Human Rights Tribunal" (later to be overturned by the Ontario Superior Court), because she lied about being fired because of her religion? The message Canada is sending is clear: exploit your Muslim minority status every chance you get, and immunize yourself from accountability for your actions at work. CAIR suing A+F with their willing Muslimah "victim". The Toronto Muslimah "victim".
  23. Kingston canal homicide victims feared father Mohammad Shafia 'honour killing' trial starts The beauty of "multiculturalism" on display. What a lot of people don't realize is that the threat of abuse from conservative Muslim families towards their female family members typically doesn't make it to the news until a girl/woman violates the "rules" (dates a non-Muslim boy, wears conventional clothing and refuses to wear a desert-nomad costume, or is victimized by sexual assault) and ends up in the morgue. The left, predictably, will either play down the prevalence of misogyny in Islamic societies/families, or, if they're feeling ambitious, will obfuscate the truth and suggest that honour killings are just like other forms of domestic violence, and unfairly delineated as something separate in order to denigrate Muslims/Islam. Anyways, the murderous family of third-world trash has plead not-guilty.
  24. U.N. calls for Gadhafi death investigation Unsurprisingly, the UN and two of its appendages, Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, are calling for an "international investigation" into the death of Qaddafi.
  25. The left has nothing to give but its hollow pity and calls for the "redistribution" of the wealth of others.
