  1. What gives? It just told me that I had already voted in this poll (when of course I haven't). Rotten thing. I vote for Brison. I think he'll make a run for it and get it. About time we had someone from the real east in.
  2. What?? You mean those liberal biased media (CBC) COULD BE out there reporting against the hand that feeds them. Pshaw! Couldn't happen, could it? Something else too .... people don't care about truth. That's why the media do so well - they repeat the parties spin. They call it news. I call it BS.
  3. They can't take the truth!! If I had time I'd go back and pull out all the mis=deeds that the Mulroney conservatives did, well, some of them anyways. It seems to me that a lot of what went on in adscam also went on in the Mulroney era. That'd get'em good.
  4. Hello, anyone out there (iknowbest, an oxymoron if I ever heard one)???? It's nothing to do with us, it's all to do with the fear factor in the USA. They jump at shadows and yet leave back doors wide open. This Bush regime has blamed everyone except themselves when it comes to 9/11. It's the Iraqi's fault, it's the Afghani's fault. Nothing about where the dangers really came from. Nothing to do with the fact that the terrorists came through their own front door, not slipping through the Canadian borders or Mexican borders. And if the USA wants to isolate themselves, well that's their problem. And, the fact that they won't even let their own citizens back in their own country without a passport, means they trust noone from anywhere. Glad we don't have to live with that kind of negativism here.
  5. Conservatives lie? Surely not.
  6. To some people it is worth it. To some victims of crime it brings peace of mind.
  7. Argus, are you saying that every Liberal MP, organizer, volunteer, supporter is on the take? And you want to be taken seriously? I think not.
  8. Sure, it was a technicality. It's always DIFFERENT when the CPCers do it yes? Toews kept his post. There goes any notion of morality in the CPC. Yet they lecture all the others on morality. What's that word again? Oh yes........ H-Y-P-O-C-R-I-S-Y
  9. Isn't it one billion and counting?
  10. If Paul Martin had not been in such a big hurry to boot Chretien out of office, this could have been all Chretien's baby. I don't feel sorry for Martin at all even though it was not his mess. I'm just waiting to see if they conclusively tie any of it to him. (And no, not just rumour or innuendo like the Harperites like to base their decisions on.)
  11. No, it's a personal attack. Now if you would have called Cagerattler's opinions, views, facts idiotic, then it would not be classified as a personal attack.
  12. HRDC has not lost the money, nor misplaced it. The accounting was a nightmare. Eventually it was all accounted for except (last I heard) just over ten thousand dollars. I may be incorrect about that amount but I know it was not much (by government standards). It would be a lot to me however.
  13. Even if the CPC get elected they will never be a government for ALL Canadians. Not even close. And you think the Liberals are!?!?! Nope, I never said that either.
  14. Yeah, but who cares about the NDP?
  15. That's kind of funny in a sick sort of way. Isn't Harper the one that said he wouldn't accept the Progressive Conservative senators that Martin appointed into the CPC caucus because they no longer represented the "new" conservative party? Funny how it's acceptable for the old Tory ties when it suits Harper's agenda. What a hypocrite that man is.
  16. Even if the CPC get elected they will never be a government for ALL Canadians. Not even close.
  17. Willy, I pay attention. I don't have the same stardust in my eyes as the Harper followers. Proof enough that he just said that he doesn't feel tied to follow any of the policies that were agreed upon at the forever waited for convention. Here you have grass roots talking and the leader not taking it seriously.
  18. I have a problem with the gun registry inasmuch as it doesn't go far enough. It should have included ballistics on all weapons that were registered. A serial number can't tell you as much as ballistics.
  19. A word of caution though: the website may be reporting truthfully what was said, it cannot authenticate the truth of what was said. A court of law will be the place to determine this.
  20. You're living in a dream world Argus if you believe all the grass roots BS. Harper is a top down leader, probably the most top down leader the CPC/Reform/Alliance chameleon history. You CPC ideologues just can't see it through the fog of fawning.
  21. If the public didn't buy into it and even encourage it (look at FOX) it wouldn't happen. Reporters, like all others, must be forced to be honest and objective. We buy it, we own it.
  22. Hey now, don't confuse me with a CPCer. This so called Conservative Party serves it's own ends such as do all the political parties, only they go where few choose to follow but may have to given no other alternatives. Given, however, that the Harperites and their faithful lemmings look like the cat that swallowed Tweety-bird, they may sway the uncomitted voter that last election took a chance on the Liberals. If the news is bad enough we may have another party in the single digit representation, as what happened after Mulroney's infamous reign. This in no way serves Canadians; nay, it was that scenario that permitted the Liberals to dig deep into taxpayers pockets to line their own.
  23. So Cagerattler, are you still going to support the Liberals if it turns out that the whole Quebec wing (which would include Martin) of the party was involved in major kickbacks through the ad companies?
