Ha ha ha ha ha! You kill me with your jokes! Marine engineering you say? So you lay cables....ya what a profession....you need less skill than a bulldozer operator to do that.... Corporations like ex-AF personnel for only one reason - they do as they are told, following orders without question. The executives don't care about skill becuase they have to retrain people anyway. But they really like being able to tell a grunt to get down on his hands and knees when they need them. 50% is half. It is your twisting of comprehension that think that 50% and half don't equate. I don't use links in discussing this stuff since the majority of information comes from Science Journals, and U of T library resources. I'm sorry if you are too lazy to follow them up yourself. I don't need proof - you do. As I said the work I do involves a lot of anthropological study. My civil engineering is still put to some use, but generally they are not related. Only a dolt looking for a fight would try to put the two together...Geez....

Male nurse? In YOUR dreams......fella.....But if you lean that way and all that..... But even if I was a male nurse (which I am not) I'm sure to give respect to all the male nurses out there it is a much better occupation than being a welfare bum living off the charity of others.... I don't care who believes me about my professions. Their opinions like yours, have no bearing on the discussion.

"The simple fact is that they are more highly trained and proficient in their disciplines than 95% of the population...." Ha ha ha ha ha ha...... It is not a simple fact! That was just a biased opinion coming from yet another social misfit! I started anthropology as a hobby and it grew from there. My discipline is in Civil Engineering. There is nothing obtuse about it. Butr there is one thing that sets me apart from army slugs like you. I read. And I use my capacity for critical thinking to sort out the bunk from the plausible. Coming from someone who has to be told what to do each day, I hardly think you have the capacity to sort out your dirty laundry. And BTW while the Armed Forces considers pushing dirt around "engineering" it is not the same thing as a degree in the science.

All those "professionals" are following a theory, not unlike geologists, biologists and anthropologists that veraciously pursue other theories attempting to prove the correct. Nearly two years of complete scientific obsession was dedicated to Dr. Steven Hawking's theories on space as well, only to find out they were wrong. The fact that a few (there are only about 3 major scientific studies pursuing the mtDNA genealogy project worldwide) doesn't make it mainstream science. It is a collection of data for a theory that hasn't concluded much. So far as we have is a bunch more questions. As an engineer and anthropologist I have a far better grasp on math and science than any arm-chair army grunt. Maybe in your retirement you should get off the internet and take up reading for a hobby. Much of what takes place on the internet is unbelievable hype. Serious scientists publish their work and do not disseminate the kind of bunk you attempt to certify here.

The "speculation" is a current discussion among geologists, anthropologists and archaeologists in the mainstream scientific community. There are number of models which show connected land masses not only to Africa, but between Australia and Antarctica and Antarctica to South America. Keep in mind that no matter what ideas are floated about, they are just theories about something that is pretty difficult to prove. Now considering that the oldest evidence of human occupation of the Americas is over 60,000 years old (more than 20,000 years preceding the occupation of Europe) how would you suppose the aboriginals got here from Africa when South America is thousands of miles away from the closest African coast? Did they fly Quantus?

charter.rights replied to margrace's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
The ability of the ETR to collect fees was challenged a number of years back and struck down. On appeal and some government changes to the laws put it back. You can be refused a license plate for not paying ETR usage fees, including not payng for a transponder. You do realize that as a Corporation the Province of Ontario is not there for our interests, but to protect the interests of other incorporated businesses, right. Legally, the Province has no legal obligation to us. We are merely minor share holders, with the major shareholders calling the shots. -
Ah...you have misread yet another point to satisfy your imaginary superiority..... I agree that it is a common theory that all humans originated in Africa. However, it is the migration out of Africa that is in question. 100,000 years ago they migrated to Australia. Theorists postulated that from there they may have also skipped, hopped and jumped across to Antarctica and onto South America in the last 80,000 years populating South America long before Asia was reached. Mitochonrial DNA linking genetics is a sketchy theory. All it proves is that one part of the DNA - a very small bit - connects thousands of people through their characteristics. That is to say that because Queen Elizabeth's DNA contains some 90% similarity to a fruit fly, that she must have descended from a family of fruit flies. It is not accepted wide-ranging science. It is a media hype who have latched on to the sketchy premises and tried to certify it. Maybe you should really do research on it instead of glossing over some newspaper articles and calling yourself an expert. Kengs333's Odin myth is nothing more than Aryan bunk. It says more about him than the white supremacists could say about eating grits at a Black National Convention.
-
Mitochondrial DNA testing is not "accepted science" It is a theory based on some very sketchy links. You should looked into it ore before you go spouting some coonnection. The archaeological fact so far, is that natives were in North America BEFORE Europeans migrated out of Africa to what is now Europe. How someone can amde a connection where one half didn't exist is beyond me. Being a racist is a personal viewpoint. Denying it makes one a bigot.
-
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! More of your racial assertions no doubt. Those who might think that natives anywhere are related to Europeans are dreamers. The fact is that natives populated the Americas long before Europe was populated from Africa. IF and that is a big IF there is a correlation to be made, it might be that Natives share the common ancestry out of Africa. All the rest is racist bunk.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha! LOL ROTFLMAO!!!!! Using "Catholic history" to refute native history ! Ha ha ha ha. That is like going to the Japanese to try to explain the defeat of the Americans in WW2. Ha ha ha ha. Only someone intellectually immature would try to use that kind of resource. Are you really a McHale fan? It does really show your connection to him...... Remember too, that the Jesuit Relations was written in French and requires a fairly established understanding of that language to understand how things were written in context. You do realize that Catholic apologetic is design for one thing?
-
Actually they are not well documented. They are the fabrication of Hollywood writers for the most part. The myths grew from there. Of course the stories do show up in sixth grade texts but a modern and authentic historian rejects it all as hogwash. Even the Jesuits Relations, the for most historical text on post contact natives does not provide the documents you claim exist. Sure there are witness accounts of skirmishes between the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat, but there are no more volatile than heated arguments and tussles over land and hunting rights. The real wedge was the French trying to use them as pawns in the French and British conflicts. As I mentioned earlier, the truth is that the Neutrals, the Petun and the Cats were adopted by the Seneca Nation. And since the Great Law requires that one relinquish their birth nation after they have been adopted into the Confederacy, the Neutrals, the Petun and the Cat Nations ceased to exist. Their stories, traditions songs and practices however, were incorporated in Seneca traditions and now form an important part of overall Haudenosaunee culture. Your beliefs about native matters are a series of lies you continue to tell yourself. Maybe it is time you wise up instead of living in lies and myths.
-
Wrong again. No matter how you try and twist it, you are still wrong. No, native women did not marry into "race". They emigrated to a nation. Canada has the same basic policy around marriage to a Canadian by an immigrant. And certainly the children of such a marriage would be classified as to their parent's nationality. However, the difference in law is that the Haudenosaunee do not recognize dual citizenship. So once someone has emigrated they no longer have a birth nation option. The Huron and the Neutral were not murdered by the Iroquois. That just your sixth grade education on the subject coming through. For the most part the Wendat (they were not "Huron") were decimated by disease brought to them by their French allies. Those that did not die of disease went east to Quebec to live among the French, under their protection. The Neutrals, along with the Petun and the Cat nations were sponsored by the Seneca and became members of that nation, also as immigrants. What happens on APTN is not representative of Six Nations. Did you lose your train of thought? Or is it just another attempt to generalize along your racial tones? There is no term in any Iroquois language for "white man". You must have put your bias into that one yet again. Hey. It is obvious to more than two of us what your and Gary McHale's racial agenda is all about. You are in denial. But that is ok. We'll keep reminding you that you have a racial prejudice towards native people and it comes out almost every time you get into discussion on the subject.

Under the Indian Act prior to 1984, women who married men of with Native status automatically received status. They became citizens of their host nation. Prior to that status wasn't important and there were migrations all over the place that saw many native and non-native people living together on native land and intermarrying. There were cases where children were taken to live with the natives rather than being orphaned to the wilderness, and in most cases when they became of age they would choose their present way of life over the way of life over their parents or the colonial society. There are even cases where the children were kidnapped back by the colonial relatives and when they were able they returned to the native communities. Your use of the the word "brutally murdered" is evidence of your disdain for native people. I wonder if you would use the same adjectives for the historical burning of complete native villages, or the displacement through starvation after their stores of corn and beans were burned? Or of their genocide by policy imposed upon them by the American, British and Canadian governments? The only ones that mention the term "white man" here has been you and a few others that we know lean the same way. And of course Gary McHale uses that term and the terms natives versus non-natives all the time. Your desire to turn this into a debate about race by injecting that term is further evidence that you are trying to make this a racial issue to detract from the legal argument, or the historical argument. Again it is what you say supports the evidence of your personal disdain for native people in general. I wonder if Gary McHale were here discussing this, if anything would be different? It seems you share much of your thinking in common. Dealing with the truth and historical accuracy is far from defending Six Nations. It is merely countering your myths and requires little effort. If you are a racist, you have demonstrated that all your own. I don't need to accuse you of something you make blatantly obvious. But if the shoe fits.....
-
Wrong. Six Nations is a nation with a legal relationship between the Crown and the Haudenosaunee Confederacy defining their presence here. Prior to the strict controls of the Indian Act enacted since 1920, they even allowed immigration and emigration. They still do today however, they are limited to immigration from other native nations. That is because the Indian Act has made them an apartheid state. There is also no doubt in my mind that if government controls were off of Six Nations, immigration would once again begin to flourish. You see, if you go back to colonial days you will find all kinds of English, French and Dutch heritage intermingled among the Confederacy Nations. They never defined themselves as a racist or isolated state, realizing with a philosophy of communal benefit, increased populations guarantees long-term survival and increased community wealth. It seems you, like Gary McHale are among those who haven't a clue about the real Six Nations. Using some racist born imaginings of what you think Six Nations is about is what makes racists.
-
Sadly, you discount the fact that most people in Caledonia really don;t like McHale or want him in their community. You also play into the fact that McHale easily blames Six nations people for anything that happens to him. It really is an indication that McHale is in fact white supremacist with an agenda of trying to stir up trouble using race as his wild card.
-
I'm not here to represent SN or any other First Nations. I am here to discuss the application to the Charter of Rights and Freedoms with respect to all people - you know the application of the Supreme Law of Canada, that which McHale abhors. Do you think you are doing any good here exposing your and McHales prejudices and ignorance towards native people? Why aren't you out on the campaign trail with your buddy? Oh ya I forgot. He's not allowed in the place to raise riots under the cloak of campaigning. And who in their right mind would want to elect a guy who has not only broken the law and is under bail conditions awaiting trial, but one who is abusing our social safety net by taking disability money destined not for those too laze to work, but those who cannot work? Maybe a magician is what you need right now to make it all go away. I think we might be able to conjure up a guy named Merlin to help you out in that department. I mean he is already financially supporting McHale. What is one more?

The right of one's freedom of expression (we don't have free speech protection per se) is limited (and should be) so that it does not infringe upon another's fundamental freedoms, democratic mobility and legal rights, or equality rights. These limits are reasonable in that the freedom of expression must be balanced under the Constitution. So while between tow people in a private conversation, you have the right to express your hate for gays, or any other minority, you cannot take that into a public forum with the intent of cause gays or other minoritys a loss of right they have to exist. BY the same token one cannot go around spreading lies and falsehoods about people if the intent is to injure them or limit their rights as human beings. There is no doubt that the burden of proof is extensive in proving an incitement to hate but that does not lessen our legal responsibility to act with regard to another's Charter rights in exercising our freedom.
-
No that is true justice. We made deals with the natives centuries ago and staying out of their way while they hunt and fish IS the law - the supreme law of Canada - today. There is nothing two tier about it. And no natives do not have rights that we do not. We can hunt and fish too. Only becuase we are not subjects of historic agreements with our governments we have more restrictions place on us. There is no parallel in native people occupying their own land, standing up to development and illegal occupations. And since you seem to have been out of the loop of Canadian current events there are two recent cases where non-natives pulled the "same stunts" and did not get arrested. Try Googling the Cayuga Dump and the Ardoch Uranium mining - both of which were organized by non-natives and no one was arrested, tear gassed or hauled away. So your belief that two-tier justice exists is just a make-belief. McHale, Kengs333 and you are all wrong. But that's ok I understand that your mothers think you were all a mistake too!
-
Ah but you mistake what you say! Six Nations people are not Canadian. And nowhere in their constitution - The Great Law of Peace - does it allow them to enter into dual citizenship! And no where in our history of the history of the British have they ever become Canadian or British subjects! So participating in Canadian election would be as useless as McHale running in a riding where no one wants him. And you missed the point, again! The purpose of running in an election is to represent the people. It is not to seek election to represent one's self interests. It is not to go where one is not needed or wanted. Being an outsider does not give McHale the right to speak for, or on behalf of the people of Haldimand-Norfolk. That isn't what democracy is about. It is about seeking the will of the people and working for the people. Imposing oneself on the people is not democracy it is fascism and is unequivocal evidence that McHale does not believe in democracy. Given the evidence of that rag site he runs and the fascist racists he chums around with it is clear that his intent and purpose is for nefarious reasons, and not for truth, honesty or integrity. Embarrasing? Ha! You are an embarrassment to this forum and to politics in general. You can't represent yourself here anymore than McHale can represent anyone except his own self-serving mbatory needs in any election.
-
It is perfectly relevant. Only McHale could be so wrapped up in his own stench not to see it. How can a guy who is ostracized by the people of the riding he wants to represent in an election really be a spokesperson for their issues? By not being able to live in their communities and by not even being allowed in their towns and villages without restriction, McHale is just making more of an ass of himself than he was during his riotous rallies. He isn't a candidate for an election in any sense of the word and is nothing but a self-appointed self-bloated big mouth trying to make a cause where there isn't any. He is nothing more than a self-indulged one issue pony trick that keeps falling off his horse and getting back claiming victory over the dirt ground into his head. If he had any ethics, honesty or sense of justice he would have run in his own community, facing two tier justice there and raising community issues with community people. Rather, where it stands now all he does is get a few of his joker friends to do his dirty work for him. He's not willing to get into any debate the real issues of West Niagara- Glanbrook riding or even the Haldimand-Norfolk riding. Not only did any of the parties want him, or the people of his own home riding, or the people of his stolen riding, but he can't even get the media to pay much attention to him anymore. Everyone sees McHale as the fraud he really is. Hell, I would bet that if we had a face to face with God on this forum even He would reject him as Satan's spawn. He has this insane and stupid idea that he represents God - and has even claimed he is acting like Martin Luther King Jr. - yet he was booted out of seminary school, kicked out of a number of Churches and now rejected by the supporters he once conned in Caledonia. Neither the courts, the police or most other people have the patience for a guy like him. I'm not sure how close you are to McHale, but I bet that if he needed an enema, it would be your hand on the wand. At least you are so full of his crap that it makes you and him seem almost inseparable.
-
Bullcrap! The people of Calendonia claim ownership by occupation where by some magic wand the British became the owners and dictators over the land. The real racists are people like you and McHale who turned this into a native versus non-native competition instead of the historical legal issue that it is. McHale always tries to point out two tier justice using "natives" being treated differently. Yet we all know and the press has been quick to point out that Six Nations people have been arrested, as have people from Caledonia and even McHale where they have violated the law. Yet the government has over the years and continues during the present to engage in criminal acts against Six Nations, by not consulting and accommodating their concerns BEFORE development is commenced. The government through its police continue to infringe upon guaranteed Charter Rights against Six Nations peoples' rights by using injurious force against people standing up against infringments on their land. I don't see you or McHale raising these injustices in the media, do you? Yet they are more important in the scheme of things than defending a mischief charge which McHale received after trying to incite people to riot and ignore police orders. If McHale was really an advocate of injustices he would have plead guilty. But he is not interested in injustice or two tier justice. He and you are only interested in trying to build an force against the Six Nations people in order to justify continued power over native people. Six Nations people make a legal claim to the land they occupy. They are not "protesters" as you and McHale like to point out. They are occupants of their own land. This has nothing to do with race. It is about national jurisdiction over land and the question to be answered is "who has the right to the lands in questions". Only people like you continue to believe that it is about race. And that is why the majority of people in Haldimand, Caledonia and Brantford see McHale for who he really is - a racist. Add to that the even the racist skin heads have gathered at rallies organized by McHale and they too see McHale as one of them. So if it talks like a duck, walks like a duck and acts like duck it must be a duck. McHale is a racist IMO and there is no doubt in my mind that you are a close follower. I would guess that you must have really been hurt as a child by native kids to hold so much anger and hate towards native people. Like McHale that makes you a very sick individual. Get some help and take him with you.
-
What is really funny is that McHale can't even vote for himself since he doesn't live in the riding......Seems no one in the Haldimand-Norfolk riding wanted to rent a house to him and so he lives in Binbrook, which is in the riding of Niagara West-Glanbrook. His law and order platform is a joke since he himself breaks the law and then attempts to explain that it is justified to incite riots to protest natives protesting the occupation of their own land. He even had to apply to a judge to get his bail conditions relaxed since he was banned from Caledonia and Hagersville. His bail restrictions allow him to campaign there now, but he cannot participate in any large group gathers......no rallys for the rioter.
