Anti-Am replied to cybercoma's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Oh fricking yes it is the same thing -
The liberals had it wrong then as the conservatives do now.

You can run down your employer but employers have rules to follow still. I am not sure you can be legally fired because you said something bad about your boss. Anyways, your employer cannot put a gag on his employees unless the information is about national security which this is not.

Criticizing the government is banned if you work for Parks Canada. There's not much one can say to defend this. Even the reformers who complain about lack of free speech under the liberals can't agree with this. http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/story/2012/06/14/ns-parks-canada-letter-warning.html Parks Canada employees across the country have received letters warning they're not allowed to criticize the agency or the federal government. The directive comes as the agency cuts hundreds of jobs or curtails work hours. "I am aware that during this time of significant transition, the concept of loyalty can have a very particular meaning. However, as employees of the public sector, our duty is to support the elected government," employees were told. 'Our duty is to support the elected government'— Letter to Parks Canada employees Workers are not supposed to speak about the cuts, whether at meetings, forums or through social media. Only designated people are allowed to deal with journalists. Anyone who has an issue is supposed to go through internal processes, like filing a grievance, or talk with a supervisor, human resources manager or the Parks Canada ombudsman. A copy of the letter, obtained by CBC News, is signed by Chip Bird, field unit superintendent in Cape Breton. But thousands of federal workers got a similar warning. Eddie Kennedy, national executive vice-president of the Public Service Alliance of Canada, said the letter went out to 4,800 agency employees around Canada three weeks ago. "If you're in a coffee shop and you're criticizing the Harper government and there's someone sitting beside you and they know you work for a government department, technically you're in violation of the code of ethics," he told CBC News on Thursday. The letter says the "duty of loyalty" to Parks Canada is spelled out in that code of ethics. "The duty of loyalty includes the duty to refrain from public criticism of the Government of Canada when speaking as an employee of the agency. Breaching the duty of loyalty may lead to disciplinary action," it states. Kennedy said he's not aware of any employee being disciplined for speaking out.

Apparently all the major banks in the world are making sure they have enough money in case people start taking out all of their money at once

What would another election result in? I don't see the PCs getting elected as the government. Hudak is too concerned about kowtowing to the Catholic Churches every complaint. That will be his biggest hindrance. And is the NDP electable in Ontario now? I mean, they can't be any worse than the current Liberals eh? http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/story/2012/06/14/toronto-adjourns-legslature.html Premier Dalton McGuinty is warning he may call another election after the Tories and NDP combined to force changes to the government's budget bill.
-
Well, might depend on the next 3 budgets. There won't be much to attack that the next 3 budgets might actually be about budgets. That is clever! Putting everything in your first budget, then your next 3 keep small and normal and Canadians forget about the first budget. Clever.

I'm not an occupier. I would kick them if I could. Them shitbirds don't understand that revolutions begin with violence, not camping and smelling up public parks.

Come next election I bet the apathetic pathetic humans will come out of hibernation and go out and vote.

You're not, you just act like you are better than you really are. It's classic overcompensation.

DogOnPorch, it seems like you don't want people making money. You want them to remain poor so you can blame them for not starting their own business as if we're all fricking capable of running a business. Believe it or not, not everyone is cut out to run their own business. You say you have your own business, why aren't you a millionaire yet? Quick slacking off you slacker.

I'm not the best at math but giving less than a million more to your employees doesn't sound like it's going to cause a company like McDonalds much financial trouble. As for "can you explain this further for me", all I have to do is point your response about my math. It sounds like you would hoard a million dollars instead of giving it to the workers who are keeping your corporation operating, even though you're worth 20 plus billion a year. Cow.
-
He'll be fined in 2 years, for 5000 dollars and it will go away quietly.
-
So the next logical move would be to attain a warrant to check out DDMs bank account records Nevermind, already done lolz
-
Morale is low, not high. Worldwide they employ 400,000 people.. so if they did add 2 dollars hourly that would only be an extra 800,000 dollars out of their pockets and into the employees pockets. Now a company that makes over 20 billion a year in this world, 800,000 is nothing but of course if they;re a Jewish big wig you wouldn't wanna part with any money and will hoard it for yourself like most Jewish millionaires

McDonalds wouldn't lose their workers if they treated them better. The assistant manager on my shift was an awful person to work for as most are in that corporation. They don't get paid that much either and its a shitty job to begin with. Lets go over a few things Working for awful managers Minimum wage High stress environment .. McDonalds could boost morale by paying 2 dollars more per hour
-
So, they work enough hours and then go on EI.
-
I've worked at McDonalds before. They don't pay the workers enough. It's a high stress job at times because its so busy and people don't want to wait more than a few minutes. It really isn't worth the minimum wage thus the high turnover rate.
-
Wouldn't need to up the prices if the fat cats would take a little chunk off their paycheque.
-
I want pay equality. I see no reason why corporate types who work in McDonald offices make millions while the workers make minimum wage.
-
So as you know this Sunday is the election in Greece and a lot is riding on it. What do you expect the outcome to be? You could be waking up to a whole new world Monday. Or maybe that is sensationalizing the situation. I don't know what to expect.
-
It started off with 2 brothers but there was no way they grew it by themselves. It is the giant it is today because of the thousands of workers. As for me being Robin Hood, no. I just don't think the big wig suit wearing pricks should make millions on the back of the people they employ. Give more to the people they employ instead of hoarding it for themselves
-
if not for the workers, there would be no McDonalds.
-
Businesses don't grow because the work of one person.
