Hello Hugo what i meant was that i am sure we can now find the resources to hold guns to the women's head making sure that nothing threatens the rights of this dear unborn e.g. spontaneous or induced actions during pregnacy. we are concern that we do not kill our children, whilst, we surely are justified leaving the mother or child unattended to die after delivery and our steadfast wary anti-abortionist and his guns shoots off to other aborting places. i feel now this is a debate is of the anti-abortion rights vs. women's rights and i sincerely hope the former have started the first challenged journey of those progressive minute steps that women have crossed before they actually realise how much catching up is needed to be on a level field with womens rights it feels like being victimized all over when our rights, freedom of choice, individuality, libarations of freedom are put to be compromised - we need to positively educate, promote and empower women to make decisions and to choose....wisely in their every walk of life, and when they are capable, plan, prepared and ready will children
-
its strange how much we seem to want to give the unborn status and bind it with some law and yet if a dying child outside of the womb need the only match of a bone marrow from the mother it is consider just terrible if "she decides" [operative words are of choice] to disagree you keep insisting that life must be support from conception to birth and then yet we are only voluntary require to sustain that life after yep, it is my wish that we populate the land with females, so my choice alternatives will also allow for gender selection. its the only way to get rid of the male perspective rooted in everything and entitled "the norm"

i sometimes have to convince myself that women have made headway for some superiority, and it is not “just” equality but a “rightful” control over their own body and but now there is something about this individual rights. somehow we are of the notion that women are already librated and have made their point. er…..someone please tell me when does this individual right kicks in for the women? i am mostly incline towards alternatives as in choices. it is just my opinion that this abortion issue is taken at extremity on both sides and that dominating our rational is an emergence of personal opinion and is mostly highlighted where we have incorporated all our experiences, believes, morals, ethics and for some like myself openness, flexibility of thoughts to change from tradition into stalemate but i do see the destructive construe of accomplishing nothing in stalking, serious threatening, scaring and terrifying others including doctors and acting on evil that result in injury and death – you commit fallacies and kill the very thing you believe in every time you sabotage others, you collide within the torment of your own being what i meant is that instead of questioning morals and ethics of people decisions ask simple questions such as are we invasive of others?

these are the very kids that find their way to your neglected consciousness demanding rightful answers when you are 40 years old and all you wanted to do was to camouflage what is past but why can’t we say democracy. we would like to liberate people minds and their actions, therefore concede that in a democratic system allowances are made for the right to make mistakes what i meant is that people do not willfully err to abort. i believe every person is bestow at least some intelligence and capable of decision making and should take up responsibilities of decisions and that they accept their resolution once their minds are made.....without avoiding blame if a wrong decision is made if you agree that democracy does not develop in a haphazard manner and by accident, but is a delibrarate thought, planned self-desciplain and seeks to correct what is natural (democracy is not natural) then the question in my mind is who are we to judge people as they make their decisions (right or wrong) and who are we to allow others to willingly push overwrite themes of “guilty” and “murders” titles to difficut decisions why can’t we say freedom. is it because it is a rightful use of something called discretionary power to choose in this society. the only implication is that alternatives are given and not be fearful that we are govern by a one-sided argument. what i am saying is that reasonable folks do not dare experiment to mistakes but that there is such a process to a wrong choice. and that we must have a possibility of choices to practice freedom. i would like to suggest instead of looking at women and trying to make decisions on their behalf that we can also look at a contributing partner, and to look at other sources of the issues and find alternatives that men, women and groups can work i would like to further suggest that example of workable solutions. that at the birth of every male child to practice reversable vasectomy- i am sure the good doctors would be encouraged to improve upon this method this will save those blames on women and men are totally in control of when they are ready for the offsprings - and we can look forward to actions that would be much more rational and delibarate with proper results

no offence to those suffering with any type terminal or other diseases, the example is used as an analogy ONE ACTION of illicit sex that results in TWO SCENARIOS 1) Situation of pregnancy or 2) HIV you would like to convince me that we need to outrageously accept cost benefits treatments to the HIV person with our tax dollars and yet disallow tiny bits of benefits to the situation. and my response is this is exactly how carefully we construct our moral in some disjunctive syllogism. what i meant is that you would like to give two alternatives for the same resultant action that is unequal and disproportional. On one hand we would like to practice democracy, freedom and equality and still yet you somehow expect me to agree to a rule of no abortion necessary whilst we force kids to be raised by parents who don't want them i clarify that i have not had an experience of abortion but was glad i was "read" my choices of option and was able to correctly judge and make a decsion that is good for me, not to please a whole generation of lobbyist.
-
well i don’t think women premeditate abortion thinking it is fun, easy to do, another way to waste tax dollars and perhaps it is enjoyable. decisions to abort are simply based on honorable choices. a then single parent, when i first learnt about my unplanned pregnancy, my doctor was the first one to mentioned those choices and has gained my respect ever since. choices are very personal and some choices require much more than a great deal thinking post aftermath. i have no quarries about others trying to influence those choices by suasion and with your scientific time of when the fetus can survive out of the womb but a final decision should rest solely on the conscious of the women. women have fought and have become liberated: in mind, spirit, and body and you still keep trying to take them steps backwards. You want to create laws surrounding women to continue the species existence, perhaps enforce a law of origin for example: 1) birth control – like use this law of a choice of birth control until you are ready for children 2) concentrate on developing some similar birth control for men so that the women are prevented from having kids until they are ready most of this anti choice, anti abortion issue is arising out of a want to enforce personal believe, ethics, and religious believe onto law I wanted to ask morgan regarding if diseases such as HIV were contracted from these "immoral decisions" is justifiable then that the taxpayer be expected pick up the tabs thereafter for how many years and how is it differing from a shared experience resulting in the tabs for a perhaps a one time abort

no doubt Chretien has not show leadership in his creation of troubles between the US and canada. perhaps their politcal ideologies are poles apart but usually differences aside, on/off bush's agenda cancelling trip to canada - not reflective of what canadians want you have to agree that he is quick wit and....a lawyer guys you won't win easy now, get rid of chretien and bring in your best vote Martin Brian Mulroney even now [from your report above] you are really going end up getting Paul Martin

Globalization And Jobs
RB replied to Moderate Centrist's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
if you believe tradition has outlived its usefulness welcome to globalization and competitiveness. the decline of job security has led people to reexamine their priorities with new trade-offs that is differing from the regular job security. i believe folks are looking for better signals such as reduced turnovers, valued performance and opportunities or lack of opportunities thereof within company operations when making choices. companies need to adopt to changing environments, and the more global the economies is the need to repositioning of human talent that should be included long term planning strategies. a need also exist to establish core competencies of management – diverse and cross-cultural training and mainly planning for a seamless system that bridges functions, geography, and hierarchy some companies do regular transfers, assignment mobility, and supervisorless groups backed by computer communication technology (matrix model) to access management coaching and support somewhere else are paradigm shifts seen but retension of talents are key however you are doing it international firms moving towards multinational operations are mostly confronted with control issues, and communications not to mention real issue of cost-effectiveness research tries to encourage change but conventional wisdom still continues to prevail -
i should mention that participation of work sharing has increased because of 9-11 in sector of finances, in the hospitality industry because of SARS, in the manufacturing sector because of the US slowdown and is seen mostly in the plastic industries, car, furniture, clothing, mad-cow this amount 9M was surprising to Lakeside Packers http://www.hrdc-drhc.gc.ca/common/news/ins...ur/030613.shtml but a very smart alternative to laying off workers
-
hello bushmustgo most folks in their career lifespan and even truer for recent job trends experience 3-5 careers/career change whereas jobs are hardly permanent, contract, part-time, on call, shift, between jobs nowdays the people really who i see would experience the most difficult time returning to work is the older workers - over 45. this is because the older worker is less likely to finish high school, and is competing with an educated younger generation for jobs making the older people displaced. usually we see a high peak of want to return to work, depress of not finding work, weaning off or dropping off of these folks looking for work, or perhaps a small percentage did find work, the others just take early retirement. retraining is a solution to a manufacturing person displaced worker, and can very well wind up in the hotel business. we already know these jobs are disappearing. the government has a social responsibility and should answer to the unemployment problems some creative programs that came out of the system so far: - job creation such as jobs ontario an employer driven program that encourages employers to expand business while the government pick up the tab on wages - bridging programs that allow people to work in their skilled field such as the nurses, engineers - work sharing alternative allows companies to keep the employees working instead of laying off - the goverment share the expense of wages this is still an employers market, meaning that the market is saturated with workers to choose from but we have seen a rise in jobs posted over the past months to about 40-60 new jobs per day jobbank- on the government website campusworklink for student charityvillage for non-profit professional associations such as: ceo.on.ca, ospe.on.ca, hrpao.org, ipma-us.org and others

deficits are fiscal, inflation is a monetary phenomenon, now you wish to find an argument that would suffice the impact of relationship on the way the fiscal debt affect inflation according to these thoughts: monetary, fiscal don’t know you will have to work it out maybe with prices decide whether the money demand equation vs the government budget constrain will find answers would make a very interesting inquiry big budget deficit = inflation increase it must be truly a conspiracy that wars are good for the economy. well you need all that demanded resources to go to war, it should encourage growth non
-
well i don't see how you can talk about budget deficits unless you mention trade. large budget deficits run trade deficits in order to maintain certain consumption without reducing domestic investment. trade deficits by themself is not a issue but contribute to other problems as large budget deficits. i found some material that shows how trade influences budget deficits that i haphazardly agree with http://data.vatt.fi/iipf2002/members/paper..._SaadiSedik.pdf but just in case you didn't feel like reading theories here the conclusion of course some folks will always disagree that bugets and trade deficits are separate issues but there are always room for controversies
-
Alright, for argument sake I will explore deficits and 0 correlation with jobs Argument 1 – exports and imports Postulated by some mostly left groups that jobs are created when we export goods and services therefore jobs are lost when we import. The deficit is created when the balance is not equitable, and a bigger deficit is created when there is bigger trade imbalance and much more job loss in the case of imports Aurgument 2 - Your argument If the deficit were 0 (“since it means little”) and there is growth or growth remains unchanged, calculation of unemployment can be determine. It means domestic more production of goods – translate more jobs because no more imports or exports and imports equal and of no consequence. Reality now: there is huge trading deficit – and bush isn’t the only one talking those pegging, the entire euro region is concerned But I like the when issues are swept up by counter arguments. take into consideration: - foreign investment is bonds, stocks yes and the net surplus resultant of the investment will lead to buying new machines etc. hence jobs -I wanted to ask how much of the current growth is attributed to imports and would’nt the growth displace the domestic outputs. Well maybe not, because looking back when the manufacturing sector was doing well unemployment fell from approx. 6 to 4 % Reality now: declining into double digits is manufacturing and so is jobs deficits problem is not always due to economic problems well i am always concerned about the US economy and rightfully so because of the cause and effect relationship canada have with the US canada joblessness climb to 8%, and no fixes in sight, all the jobs i see is menial low level opportunity that is contract and part-time, i see more folks heading in to training and upgrading from whencefore the requirment for a walmart greeter might be a degree in communications soon the taxes are set to ruin your livelyhood - nowdays i try to aim at only so high. the folks are worst than caesar, i tried to reduce my house tax - which by the way the good government folks eventually fed-up did by 70% then the bank took an interest, now based on a neighbourhood where no hot-dog stand are allowed i am reappraised - you loose everytime i don't wish to reform anything

righturnonred Posted on Oct 24 2003, 06:10 PM this is what is also called fiscal irresponsibility. the US have always have a unique characteristic to carried huge deficits. i can't answer why the americans choose not to pay and only little of its borrowing - but can suggest that it might be the diff. in foreign investment return where the gain is outweight. question is how much debt is enough or can it be that this can go on indefinitely deficits do not correlate well with job loss and even when there is growth in the economy the deficit still continues to worsen things. there is some confidence now in spending and attributed to the economy doing well - if there are no plans in store for job creation it will plummet the growth
-
when people become unemployed there are all sorts of associated soical problems such as: financial problems, mental health such as depression, drinking etc. it drains the already pressured social services in place and plus output in an economy is not operating at capacity. there is not much criticism as long as the gov't in term has policies and contingencies in place to deal with unemployment well try 40% competitive advantage - china over the US - china poses biggest threat to world trade, but how to disapprove walmart buys more from China than England - helps with china's job situation well only 5% of all the folks finding work are attributed to personnel agencies. unemployment is too important for simple dismissal especially when you are leaders of the world the only way really to put people back to work is via government policies and programs - works for both employers and the unemployed, as needed provide re-training...those agriculture folks. and you won’t like this but subsidies for business if no breaks in tax for now, or breaks in borrowing
-
well jobs have been disappearing for years in the manufacturing sector try 13% reduction which is more like 20% in the past 15 years there is no one to blame. the faster we recognise we are mostly service oriented it is easier to explore ways to impove the economy than trying to proctect steel the manufacturing sector is faced with hurdles of major foreign competition, cheap labor and a domestic educated work force the us and canada need to encourage entrepreneurial spirits by offering tax incentives for start-ups to get the economy going, or incentives for R&D - create new products, or stay ahead of the game...the car industry is an example this. next is we need to encourage folks to invest in domestic products
-
it would be nice if we could just work with frictional unemployment, folks just moving around, changing jobs, and the seasonal unemployed is predictable etc. the ecomony would then by operating at full production capcity, just what every economy should aim for. alas we are dealing with 8% unemployment, a high canadian dollar with a earlier sluggish US economy puts on CDN trading disadvantage, the only good is if we can see much increase in US domestic demands, mind you we still are lagging behind in growth with the US Well I can give some stats for a particular catchment area - survey 35000 unemployed people demographics: 95% first generation immigrants 41% women 59% male general education level appraised at grade 10 or above 1 in every 4 person looking menial job (would take any general labor, assembling type work) they take about 3- 9 months to find work 1 in every 4 male is looking for highly specialize area of natural science (if you call these folks 9-16 months from now – they are still looking for work) would realize their disappointment and be filed under menial jobs 8% unemployment and climbing – and does not include those folks who are unemployed but is depressed and stop looking but it is an employers market, meaning that there are more folks looking for work, so much more selection of skill, education, experience etc., and good news for the employers low wages you bartender didn’t get the job because even though he has the experience and mesh into the opportunity there is much competition, the employers are looking for basic requirements but also for more qualification, your immeasurable soft skill, “the fit” and too much people to choose from I am glad to hear someone mentioned there is cost benefits associated with hiring. I would endorse there are much savings to companies when they choose and invest wisely in talents. But try telling this to management in times of downsizing and cost cutting for companies – the same folks that want to tell how to save in hiring are the first to go – happens all the time – choose your career wisely folks. So how our good government does tries to help ease the burden of employment, well if they are liberal in thinking how about these: - job creation programs to help the unemployed – means more folks get hired by the government to find jobs for others – but based on the government hiring alone is already varying the unemployment rates, so way to go with the tax dollars - I don’t want to appear too bias with immigrants but why do we need to send all these folks into some newcomer intervention such as: English upgrading – but good news folks, so again more government workers employed – helps with the unemployment rate so I am glad to say there are lots of jobs and help out there for the unemployed, and the government is trying its dammest to curb unemployment
-
you say trade deficit do not drive the economy but i believe it is far too important not to take notice. the US has always carried large deficits, but you don't want "repeat of the mid-1980s, the last time anxiety over the deficit reached a peak, when the Group of Seven leading industrial nations agreed to encourage a fall in the dollar in order to make U.S. goods more competitive. The dollar ultimately lost about half its value" plus unless the US can take on more debts foreign investment will be unlikely. there is a portfolio-analysis done by catherine mann on this deficits is not an just an economics issue, or political issue but shows negative in a balance sheet.....however it your easy way out for protectionism which i hope is in the works for china - get going US instate some tariffs - we need to get your economy going, to keep canada trade on track so what is the size of the issue at hand? HUGE - U.S. trade deficit with China, which totaled a record $103 billion last year and could reach $130 billion in 2003. The trade gap with China accounts for about a quarter of the total U.S. trade deficit, which reached a record $435 billion in 2002. problem needs to be reconcile. other points raised, WTO rules clearly prohibit currency manipulation. China is doing exactly this – for the pass 5 years the rate was fix against the US and even though it is assessed curretly much higher the chinese government is keeping it at the same rate. so pressure is for currency appreciation – is it wrong to reflect the value of your currency. plus they have significant trade advantage over others with the lower currency. Understandably a stable exchange rate is a natural anchor for domestic monetary policy with less of currency risk. The downside is what I disapprove they have no basis for shocks, and prone to crises, no autonomy for capital liberalization. They need to adjust the currency to reflect its worth. If china wants to support global and free trade it has to float the currency. And they can float with a band range. they become flexible, and shock absorbable. plus help fix the trade deficit incur with the US. so i suggest china be taken to the WTO for violation of currency manipulation. Regarding inflation To aug. 03 inflation rate is 2.2 for the US – along the post you mention what happens here – try approaching zero inflation and then head into deflation So regarding deflation The interest rates are currently low – the question is how much lower can it go – to zero – and what if prices continue to fall. Deflation becomes bad news Popular thinking about deflation “a fall in prices while interest rates stay at zero will lead to increases in real interest rates, which is the nominal interest rate adjusted for expected changes in general prices. example, if prices are falling at an annual pace of 5% the real interest rate will be 5%. If deflation is proceeding at a pace of 8% per year the real interest rate will be 8%. Consequently, deepening in deflation amounts to a rise in real interest rates, which in turn undermines aggregate demand and pushes the economy into a severe recession” this might seem contradictory, but the point about inflation is consumer prices rose by .3% and inflation rose to 2.2 to august. because growth fell (significant) the worry exist YET for deflation but i have to sign out now, i am yet to cover your : managed trade etc. add-on sept. 9 i might as well add that canada is also wanting the chinese to float their currency. VANCOUVER, Sept 10 (Reuters) - Bank of Canada Governor David Dodge urged China on Wednesday to float its currency, the yuan, at some point and not manipulate it "for its own ends" and canada's currency exchange regime is to be applauded now anyway for taken the advantages of floating, an independent currency with a balanced anti-inflation, anti-deflation policy can only served the country well. Friday, September 05, 2003 Speaking to a round-table of business and political leaders, Bank of Canada David Dodge said floating exchange rates had been good for Canada, helping cushion blows to an export-dominated economy from volatile commodity prices. "Based on Canada's long experience with a floating currency, I can certainly say that it has served us well" here is a link to tell why floating is good for canada http://www.bis.org/review/r001208a.pdf and perhaps can apply it to the other economies

Terminator As Governor/saviour ?
RB replied to Craig Read's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
my comment is these women folks are just stigmatizing women. classic of women behaving very badly. shows the progressive DECAY OF WOMEN. women have suffered psychologically over centuries; really we don’t need more aggravation to pathologised ourselves and make shameful while we are trying to struggle from anxiety amiss guilt. what i meant is these are incidences since 1975 goodness, how about a complaint then? scandalous then, alright, well how about the plenty of time and opportunity to make a complaint since no? the legal system is always serious about allegations of harassment at any time. oh! its fashionably timely and more effective now, the minute of fame gain. be proud ladies, stand tall, and be bold, show your fighting spirit, resist the inherent urge to capitalize on what you are doing ------> opportune conniving trickery on your placards “we demand respect”, show respect for yourselves first rid a sexual myth used against women for too long the only apology is women are shameless and muddled when there is heated politics -
Craig Read the point is about currency - goverment fiat on the yuan. fixing the yuan on the dollar in nineties when asia was in financial dire straits was applauded, today the yuan is very much undervalue, creating much surplus reserves, and china is having a ball at "competitive advantage". try coming up with a better solution? the yuan must float like other currencies for all the reason i have been talking about. don't be cheeky about reading the posts i am far from being disrespectful of opinions. i actually enjoy the forum and have mostly good intention. i confess there is so much to gather that i shall surely never have enough information i seek so i admit i know nothing. i believe the debates here are of symbolic representation of what is all good, bad and evil about history, civilisation, war, godliness, affairs of the world, death, comsumerism, the detrimental environment, war, media, materialism, etc. where the idealist, the realist, the dreamer, a genuine, a spiritual person, the ignorant all find their way to walk amongst the politics who if only in the spirit of politics changes and find that deeper meaning and responsibility in the self and to their own country is a feat. thats all. Rita

sounds good dear craig since '01' emerging stockmarkets have risen by 11%... guess who has seen the biggest increase in total market capitalisation over a four year period -- over this same period the american's s&p 500 index suffered twice that size inflation for the US is about 2.2 right out of "the economist" page 98 a worry exist about deflation: core CPI growth fell to 1.3% the lowest annual rate since 1966 the job situation "weak" in order to bring the current account deficit to say 3% of GDP the dollar needs to fall by 15-20% and closer to 35% to balance - these are works of KEN Rogoff, Harvard, and Fed Bergsten of the Institute for International Economics point is there is a major trade deficit and there are also oriental mercantiles. it must end, otherwise suffer the above consequence. its not envy why John Snow went to china http://www.ustreas.gov/press/releases/js692.htm

the chinese are hurting the US economy and are in violation of currency manipulation of World Trade Organization and International Monetary Fund agreements. here is what is happening: - yuan is peg at some fix rate against US dollar this means that - exports to the US is cheap, foreign goods to china is expensive - china intervention in foreign exchange market with artificial trading band results in huge surplus - china is using``currency manipulation'' to gain a trade or competitive advantage - this is a violation - yuan that is undervalue have negative impact on the US production - result job losses and business closures - surprise - yuan also impacts the euro china is not playing fair what is good for the US is good for Canada. so all the US is rightfully suggesting to china is for them to create a free floating currency that is let the market decide the exchange rate based on demand and supply

Affirmative Discrimination and Racism
RB replied to Craig Read's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
goodness grief - start promoting stuff like what is written above and guarantee some other diversion of the same lobbying group only now better mobilise, very specialised and will be funded by your own tax dollars. no one denies that that women are not doing better, than say a 2 decades ago. rightfully so, they are much more liberated in their thoughts, and educated about rights as it relates to work. there has been a steady influx of women entering the marketplace for the past 10 years and occupying part-time, low level clerical or assembling, working two jobs to make ends meet etc. find themselves much later attach to a career and stumble even when we go with the good equality rule. those few women you read about, who really make it in the news, are extra-ordinary, heroines really and are the only ones that you will remember because they are so few. i am dismayed to read of much denial - makes me firm in the believe there is much work to be done, and much more changes needed to realise equality. -
to be kill is making your own arrangements for this murder no? because the Oslo Accord did not detail a killing or a murder of a leader. if we are intent in killing leaders and setting some precedence, who is next and would bush be a likely choice in this line up of candidates?
