First off, you're not doing much to make yourself look smart by calling people idiots. Secondly, the ridings are named "Edmonton-Spruce Grove" and "Edmonton-Leduc". (Mike Lake's riding is Edmonton-Beaumont, as well.) All 3 ridings take a chunk of Edmonton and combine it with areas outside the city. Edmonton-Spruce Grove contains a big chunk of the western side of Edmonton that includes West Edmonton Mall. If you don't agree, why don't you check the riding map. Harper insists that such capitulation to political expediency was required to ensure two Conservative metropolitan dead zones had Cabinet representation. BullShit. James Moore, one of his so called brightest MP's represents a riding lining the northeastern edge of Vancouver... besides if a civic shutout justifies shopping for a turncoat, what about Edmonton? It lacks a minister to call our own and we have to settle for Rona Ambrose, who is from Spruce Grove, which is 10 miles away from Edmonton, why did he not put James Rajotte in there who is from Edmonton? As for Michael Fortier, it is even more explicable given Harpers views on electing the Senate. Fortier will not be held accountable to the Opposition since Harper convieniently appointed him as a Senator, and he won't be held accountable like the other senior ministers, is that ethical and acceptable? While Tory shut out Toronto has its Cabinet representative from Oshawa, an hour away from Toronto, he feels compelled to give Montreal an unaccountable senior minister despite having Transport Minister Lawrence Cannon in a riding also an hour's drive away. Vic Toews was as Justice Minister, what a laugh, he was convicted last year for violating Manitoba election laws, it may have been a minor offence and possibly a misunderstanding but if it happened federally the would have been barred from Cabinet, but it was just a provincial violation so that makes it ok, right? Gordon O'Conner as Defence Minister, another what a laugh, a defence lobbyist, yeah he has not ties to military contractors, right? I am sure there are juicy contracts just waiting to be fulfilled with him. Maybe all you conservative lovers, should look in the dictionary to see what ETHICAL means... I would like to put in my 2 cents, because that is all I have to offer or will probably get from this new government, I personally think you are all idiots to believe that Stephen Harper is the messiah who is going to change federal politics, I can see through that fake smile of his, how can he go from being an angry right wing leader to this smilie leader overnight as he has done, I think it is bullshit, and most of you are taken in by him, I do not agree with their policies other than one, and that is the accountability act, and that is it, reducing the gst will do nothing other than add more money into the rich's pocket... Mulroney left in a scandal if you all forgot, his government screwed us on NAFTA brought in the GST and did everything else to Canada including erasing the EI benefits where you could not collect if you quit or got fired, but the liberal government fixed.. unemployment was down to the lowest it has been in 30 years, the dollar went up, our economy has increased, if you cannot see what they have done for our country then you are all blind, and all you like all the others out here in alberta can focus on is the scandal of which PAUL MARTIN and HIS government was exhonerated by Gomery, most of the people involved in that were kicked out or not re-elected... but you do not even see that... did we suffer so bad under the liberal government as idiot Harper and Layton lead us to believe and what the rag newspapers in the SUN were reporting, I believe not, I believe the liberal party sat on it's laurels for too long and did not bring fresh ideas on what they should do and I think now they can Stephen Harper is not the next political messiah and I personally do not trust him nor his party at all, considering they are former reform members from alberta, and maybe all of you should check out a sight that has quotes from Stephen Harper himself, then maybe you will get your heads out of your butts...
