And that's how easy it is.
Do you think our grandparents would care? What about our grand-kids?
You could concentrate on things that will work, not fantasies about how Canada can bend the world to its will.

Solar has limited value in a northern country with short winter days that are often cloudy.

May didn't receive a majority, she had to make a deal to stay in power. In no way is that the same as a PM with a majority government.
Sure it is, she had to make a deal with her own MP's. The vote was between her own MP's, not the Commons. The Liberals had a big majority when Chretien got bounced by Martin.

We boycott Australia and Indonesia. You have to be really tough to trump economics with virtue...it'll take nerves of steel. Our grandparents sacrificed some 25% of their GDP in the struggle against tyranny.
Its not that the dark side of the force is more powerful its just easier.
Do you really think they would care? Asia is their market, not us.

Not really. A prime minister with a large majority is like a king. No pesky house and senate to deal with, no filibusters, no 60 vote margins needed to pass legislation.
Technically a PM can be replaced by caucus without an election. That's pretty much what happened when Martin took over from Chretien.

Now that Trump has basically admitted political interference in Meng's arrest, one wonders if the US extradition request will still hold water.
I can just see his sane advisors (if he has any left) telling him to STF up.

I reread it, saw how it sounded, and changed my post.
The present abomination in the White House makes the question a lot harder than it should be.

I doubt Trump has ever done anything due to backbone. He probably has bone spurs on it.
Ya got that right, he can't even fire someone face to face.

Trusted to do what? Refrain from putting a million Muslims into concentration camps? Trump might like to, but only the Chinese can get the job done.
I think the question was which person would you trust more, not which country. I'll stick with my answer.

This is why under this president the US looks morally bankrupt. Really, who is to be more trusted, Xi or Trump?
Neither. You would have to be really desperate to put your trust in either one.

I'm not convinced of Trump's courage after how he looked the other way with the Saudis. After the bashing Canada took in the USMCA deal and the G20 summit in Quebec, Canadians are questioning whether the US can be trusted. Relations with China are increasingly important. These court proceedings should not be politicized. Trump has already said he will politicize it by making Meng's fate a bargaining chip in trade negotiations. If he's muddying the waters by making law negotiable, why should Canada follow legal process? Oh, because it's the right thing? Does that even register with the US federal government anymore?
Exactly, we are trying to act according to the rule of law and he makes it about him as usual. Fucking asshole.

Maybe, but he is not afraid of China....like Justin Trudeau. Scumbag > Coward
We did your dirty work for you, now piss off.

Trump is a scumbag and woe to us if we forget it.

Trump says he would step in if it was to help with a trade deal. Proof positive that he threw Canada under the bus to put leverage on the Chinese.
Fuck off Individual 1, you are the last person we would want help from.

Doesn't matter...Trump will always matter more than Trudeau regardless of the stock market or soiled panties.
Not after they put him in jail.

Question is, when will Canada ask America to intervene?
I think that would be a mistake.

Go back to my post. I corrected it. You can look this shit up to.

Did you not understand the question? I was not asking as to how many people were extradited to other countries from Canada. The question was how many people have been extradited back to Canada at Canada's request? I could not find anything in your post that showed me this? If I missed it maybe you can point it out for me?
I expect we extradite far more because we are seen as safe place to run to.

Much as I hate the fact that Agincourt and the Dambusters were all for nought, I think Brexit was a terrible idea. It was too late. Cameron ought to go down in UK history as an utter clown.
More like Dunkirk. Britain is getting out of Europe but leaving all its weapons.

Has Canada ever extradited anyone from another country? I cannot recall ever as to whether Canada has done so in the past. Just wondering.
Lots.

No surprise here. The only question was who they would pick and will there be more.

So we boycot some Asian or Middle Eastern country. What do they get from us that they can’t get from somewhere like Australia or Indonesia or each other? Trade is competitive.
