  1. You can not prove outside of the CLOSED, secretive, federal government inquiry, that the RCMP have faulted Arar. You cannot prove that Arar was exonerated for the simple reason to save Canada's competence concerning its immigration system and not to mar its 'Charter of Rights and Freedom's' nor implicate Canada's entire Muslim community as untrustworthy. A court of law would have established 'whatever the outcome' as factual, perhaps at the expense of the federal government, something the CLOSED, SECRETIVE INQUIRY could never do, and will always leave the impression of a government cover up, to save its own incompetent butt.
  2. A Canadian citizen was not sent to Syria. It was a Syrian citizen, a suspected terrorist that was sent to Jordan. BTW- Syria did not even want Arar unless Jordan hand delivered him, which they did. An $863,589.14 investigation sounds like a pretty impressive RCMP file on a single person. We will probably never know the true facts why the RCMP commissioner resigned as a result of the Arar inquiry, which could have been a technicality as seen by the inquiry, but perhaps in a court of law would have interpreted the situation differently. All I know it is apparent Canada is placing Canadian citizens at risk, by accepting immigrants with dual citizenships from terrorist oriented countries. What kind of irresponsible government would not recognize this simple fact, and that is probably the MAIN REASON our Canadian government wanted Arar exonerated as to remain faultless and blameless. It beats me how any Canadian citizen can put their trust into a government shielded, secretive inquiry and and actually accept the outcome without knowing anything about the evidence the RCMP produced and what was said concerning how exactly Arar was faulted by the RCMP.
  3. The latest take on the Arar case is the RCMP spent a total of $5-million dollars on the Arar case. It spent $863,589.14 investigating Arar as a so called person of interest and the rest in the forces participation into the inquiry headed by Judge Dennis O'Connor at a cost about $4.1 million. If this does not encourage the feds to ban all Muslim immigration, WHAT WILL? http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/sto...y/National/home
  4. The point is that it's potraying white Canadians as sex crazed, immoral perverts while the Muslim woman is proper and righteous. The whole point is that the 'communist broadcasting channel' think that (with the tremendous help of the CBC and the charter) the Anglos have been beat down by Quebec and now CBC is unleashing the immigrants to do the same to Canadian Westerners.
  5. What "interesting" logic. The federal government has declared English and French the official languages of Canada. But you say that isn't so because all of the provinces have not declared English and French official within their borders. By the same logic Canada has no army. Oh sure, the federal government has troops and weapons, but none of the provinces do therefore there is no such thing as a Canadian army. By the same logic Canada has never entered into an international treaty agreement. The federal government has made agreements with other countries, but none of the provinces have, therefore Canada has never made an agreement with another country. I would suggest learning a bit more about our system of government. The federal government can do (some) things at a national level without having the consent of every single province. Likewise, the provinces can do some things within their borders without the consent of the federal government. One of those things that the federal government can do is to declare English and French the official languages of Canada. And no. "Provinicial officialism" is not what matters when talking about "the grand scope of Canada." National issues involve the national (i.e. federal) government. The military is a direct federal responsibility UNLIKE 'official languages' the result of IMO corrupt Liberal politics and a Liberal induced 'Royal Commission on Bilingualism and Biculturalism' which was rejected in favour of 'official multiculturalism'. Declaring 'official languages' without a national referendum is sabotaging the provincial right of language control. I really don't know why you would bring up Canada's military as a comparison between joint agreement of the provinces when it is a well known fact that Quebec refused to fight in both world wars. If you don't agree "provincial linguistic officialism" trumps the federal desire to implement 'official bilingualism, then all you have to do is look at Quebec the only province in Canada that unilaterally declared itself 'officially unilingual French' while totally ignoring the federal dream of provincial 'official bilingualism' after all it did for Quebec creating its language an 'official language. This also does not questions the 'big mystery' why English provinces do not demand that their repective provinces demand 'official English only status' like Quebec. That's exactly what this topic is trying to convey in discussion is Canada's pandering to Quebecism, homosexualism and Aboriginalism pertaining to cults as a totally unnecessary venture backed by a corrupt charter and a total waste of taxpayers money.
  6. Problems such as the one you had with the security guards should be dealt with swiftly and harshly, no matter which language was ignored. (Assuming that they were in fact bilingual and just being d*cks to you.) But incidents like that aren't really the fault of federal bilingualism. It's just some idiots that need to be straightened out. You can find people like that everywhere. Unfortunately. It seems you have not recognized the reckless game the feds are playing. You cannot force Canadians to learn an inconsequential, useless, non-commercial language, just for the sake of brownie political points. Quebec has proven OVER AND OVER it is incompetent in helping itself, as it is not willing to loose its language and Quebec nationalism resulting in losing major investment in Quebec. Now, just isn't that to bad because it HAS NO LEGAL RIGHTS to FORCE he government of CANADA to support this type of individualism. It is to bad certain federal parties have traitorous characteristics that endangered Canadian nationalism and Canada as a country.
  7. That is an interesting position to take given your main argument. You say that the Charter gives advantages to groups like people from Quebec, homosexuals, and Aboriginal peoples. One of the reasons behind this statement is that the Charter has (somehow) taken away rights that people had in an established country / society. Wouldn't that reason work in favour of Native Canadians who are trying to get back some of the rights they had in their prior, existing established society? Even before you answer that one, please tell me what extra advantages the Charter has given Native Canadians. You've done your bit on Quebec & the French language. I've seen your previous threads on homosexuals. (Personally, I think you're in deep left field on both issues... in fact, it's possible that you're not even playing the same sport...) But now I'm curious to hear your viewpoint on Native Canadians. Maybe you can tell me how the charter has taken away rights from Quebec, homosexuals and Aboriginal people. Did these groups ever had any sort of sovereign power to establish rights to begin with? The federal government is currently pandering to Aboriginals in a way that expresses 'individualism' rather than to include them overall like any other Canadian. I see no reason why Canada should be giving Aboriginals a NICKEL. Either they live on their reservations and hunt and fish like they claim they want to, or join mainstream Canadian society. The choice is theirs.

  9. Of course. How silly of Drea to say that English and French are the official languages of Canada. Official Languages Act Maybe then, you can tell me WHY all provinces in Canada ARE NOT officially bilingual including Quebec? Because I will tell you, they are NOT, provincially legally recognized as such, except for New Brunswick as provincial powers only have that type of legal linguistic language control to declare English and French OFFICIAL working languages of Canadian provinces. So much for artificiality of 'OFFICIAL LANGUAGES' as it only applies under the corrupt, federal discriminatory hands under federal entities and NOTHING to do with provincial officialism, which is what matters when you are talking the grand scope of Canada.
  10. In reality you are forcing Canadians to learn French, an inconsequential language of cultural conveinence limited to a single province. This is a cheap power grab and constitutes acute discrimination especially when its promoted by Canada's national federal government. This is a total waste of Canada's resources and discriminates against the mainstream commercial language English. Have you ever heard of users of a majority language being forced to assimilate to a minority language anywhere? Why do you suppose Quebecers ever learned English initially, because they were so interested in linguistics, sure.
  11. As usual Drea, you are misrepresenting facts. French and English are NOT the official languages of Canada, they are the official languages of our federal government. On a more important provincial basis, they are only official in a single province, that being New Brunswick.
  12. The Dylan song is a real classic. I trimmed it since it is also rather long, and replacing the chorus with the word "chorus" wouldn't shorten it. Why all the fanfare for Saddam? It was his own people that hung him, which is the punishment for murder (crimes against humanity) in Iraq. Besides what is the difference between someone dying in the street from hunger in a modern city, or being hung, as they BOTH end up DEAD? It seems atrocities are seen from the eye of the beholder.
  13. Your statement is illogical as French is NOT a national language of commerce, English is. So within that context any public servant who insist on using French within federal government which is a national entity, discriminates against the English one. If the federal government chooses to utilize a language other then English without being described as a 'national language of commerce, ALSO DISCRIMINATES against the English speaker, even more so as that language does not represent Canada nationally.
  14. Such humbug! It is NOT humbug. It is in the charter. Read it sometime.
  15. Twisted hicks full of machismo also emulated by the more educated city dweller.
  16. I and another had a long discussion with Hugo about 'what constitutes a right', and it came down to how rights are dispensed and to whom. Hugo asked, "Do you feel that the Jews in the gas chamber have the right to life?" My answer was, "the Nazi's didn't give them that right". Only intervention, and the vanquishing of that power, led to the re-allotment of the right to life to Jews. By the rest of the world. At least in that place in time. So, Leafless, you seem to be marking, in an elitist way, who rates as qualifying for human rights protections and who doesn't. Or, who qualifies as human and who doesn't. Your argument is badly flawed, as NO Canadian was ever DENIED the same rights as any other Canadian. What the problem is, these cultist refuse to UTILIZE these same rights as other Canadians do, NOT that they are denied RIGHTS. For any government to pander to individualism to destroy initial democratic rights of ALL other Canadian citizens, is a direct form of APARTHEID mastered and controlled by a dictatorship. Canadians as a group have been led down the garden path, in the same hypnotic fashion as members being indoctrinated into a CULT.
  17. The Rights Canadians SHOULD HAVE to DECIDE the RIGHTS to cults, namely Quebec, Aboriginals and homosexuals.
  18. What we have in Canada is a system 'Governmental Apartheid' allowing minorities to strip away the RIGHTS of majority English speaking Canadians concerning an existing ESTABLISHED country. The rights stripped away from Canadians involve a loss of linguistic rights and traditional rights pertaining to religious traditions relating to Christianity as well as the federal government excluding the rest of Canada from obtaining the SAME PROVINCIAL RIGHTS and POWERS as those given to Quebec. English the majority language of commerce is now legally hampered by unwanted government legislation creating a form of APARTHEID, creating English second class citizens by forcing French minority linguistic rule both in the federal government and throughout whatever provinces the federal government feels like promoting that French minority language over the existing rights of provincial language legislation. The original proposed bicultural Canada was rejected in favour of a charter protected multicultural Canada which in effect DESTROYED the OLD CANADA with this oppressing , highly discriminating system of federal government apartheid. This is a horrible event for English speaking Canadian Christians to be so trapped within the bowels of government with absolutely NO INDEPENDENT SAY in their own CONSTITUTION.
  19. You could go to the US and claim refugee status based on "my morals are being infringed upon!" -- I'm sure they will be sympathetic to your plight. Better yet, why not get an application to live there. Get yourself a green card and a job and you will be all set. No sense ruining Canada for the rest of us just because you hate it here. I have principles. And the main one is: No Bunch of LOSERS will EVER force me to leave MY COUNTRY and millions of other Canadians FEEL THE SAME WAY.
  20. Article: The Ottawa Citizen, Saturday, December 30, 2006. Pg.-F2. Title: "Government picks up $95M infrastructure tab for latest Mont-Trembly development" This article is not on the net. The Mont Trembly resort in Quebec will get get a $95M break from the government for its massive expansion tagged at $1B. The federal and Quebec governments will in in $47.5M each to build roads, waterworks and sidewalks at the future Versant Soleil and Versant Nord villages and of course will include a new Casino. Officials expect the latest 1,700 units will attract 1.5 million new visitors and create 1,500 permanent jobs. Intrawest Corporation (head office in Vancouver) has a long history of receiving government aid and already was given more than $100M in federal cash between 1993-2004. Interawest was also a major donor to the Liberal party. ------------------------------------- We all know what global warming is doing to the snow supply in Eastern Canada and how the success of this project in the most part depends on snow. Is this really a good investment? And Intrawest itself who is listed in the 'Troubled Company Reporter'. http://bankrupt.com/TCR_Public/051006.mbx And a history of the company: http://www.intrawest.com/about-us/corporat...iew/history.htm
  21. theloniusfleabag So to sum it up, Quebec, homosexuals, Aboriginals, atheist, new mass immigration with all their baggage, are all riding the same gravy train screwing up an existing established society, all benefiting from that HOLY GOVERNMENT BIBLE, the CHARTER of RIGHTS and FREEDOMS. All of this, thanks primarily to Quebec. This at the same time of course is depleting the resources of the tax payers of Canada, putting them in the poor house while corporations rub their hands with glee, with the influx of refugees and assisted immigrants all ready to spend their free government dollars on their products. I have a feeling and it won't be all that long hopefully, that this country will collapse under the weight of its own STUPITY, when then we could possibly all become U.S. citizens, HOPEFULLY.
  22. Yes I am familiar with Canadian politics . Born and raised here. #1-2-3-4-5-sounds like the Catholic Church, Mormon Church, Jehovahs et al. I still cannot see where you (or me) have been made a second class citizen. And what money have we expended for the "demands and rights " given these groups? All "cults" get tax breaks. If you think #1,2,3,4 and 5 refer to Christianity rather then the makings of a cult, then there is no sense carrying this discussion any further as your brain is incapable of recognizing the difference between religion and a cult. Religion is a welcome addition to most countries and forms the backbone in societies to harmonize the relationship between government and religion to help establish a strong united country especially pertaining to families. Domesticated religions harm no one and is simply the believe in a superhuman controlling power especially in a personal God entitled to obedience and worship. But, I can see a difference of opinion being created in Canada (more so) by certain governments to try to remove the importance of the church entirely. This is because the emphasis is now removed from family, to accommodate large scale immigration and attend to their religions and other needs at the expense of the needs of Canadian society. This is what I call a government shooting itself in the foot and WILL be doomed to failure as for certain a backlash will develop over a multitude of unresolvable issues. You ask "I still cannot see where you (or me) have been made a second class citizen. And what money have we expended for the "demands and rights " given these groups?" Well take official languages Sec. 16 to 22 including 'official bilingualism under federal entities' for instance. You tell me (if you have any idea) what this cost Canada since its conception? You tell me if this is not responsible for the creation of an elite society, separate and only serving its own interest within the confines of Canadian society? You tell me if this has not humbled and humiliated English speaking Canadians to the level of second or third class or even worse, Canadian citizens? You tell me if language in Quebec is a way to recruit Canadians and immigrants to the ideologies of Quebec? You tell me if wealth created within Quebec is beneficial to Canadian society? This is a hypothetical question considering Quebec has always been a 'have not province' but yet enjoys rights, privileges and programs other provinces can only dream about.
  23. Unconfirmed reports say Saddam was executed at 6.00A.M. He has paid the price. Justice has been served.
  24. This is almost like burning a witch on a stake. Could we please use a little more class, after all, some countries aren't all perfect like Canada. You know, different strokes for different folks.
  25. There is a major difference between a religion and a cult. This is primarily relating to religion: (1) A cult uses phychological coercion, to recrute, indoctrinate and retain members. (2) Forms an Elist society. (3) Founder leader is self appointed, dogmatic, charismatic and unaccountable. (4) Belives 'end justifies the means' in raising funds and recruitment. (5) Its wealth does not benefit its members or society. Pertaining to how Canadian society is held hostage to their demands is all in the charter of rights and freedoms. I think you mentioned you are not familiar with Canadian politics, therefore I would suggest you read fully the charter which not only serves as a protection of rights and freedoms for all Canadians, but also tries to create 'equality' for groups the government considers worthy of extra attention. This is what the contentious issue is all about and how the government implements it to do just that within the confines of a supposedly democratic country. The end result being is that the majority of Canadians become second class citizens, as a result of this discriminatory policy with a total lack of controls to prevent an abuse of powers, as well as paying for the demands or rights given to these groups (cults) as they nicely fit the description.
