  1. Ahh, but there is the rub. The Conservatives ads will be seen by millions of Canadians watching TV. The Liberal knock-offs, by Harper-haters and political junkies in general. Have your laugh with your internet only Harper hate fest. The Conservatives will be laughing all the way to a majority. Here is the rub, the youtube Harper has already aired nationally tonight on the news lol by millions of Canadians!!!! And its true lol even more and he is a leader, yep wells was correct the CPC are audtioning for opposition. lolol So your admitting that the CPC are you people here are having a Dion hate fest! Wow, never thought I hear that! For every one issue you can find a Harper broken promise, I can find 10 Liberal broken promise.
  2. In a minority government, I am wary of taking them for granted but I generally can't find anything written on them as to their positions. I wonder if that is true in Quebec as well. The Bloc is a left-wing party that stands for "standing up for the interests of Quebec" usually with all leftist sort of stuff that they, like the NDP, can promise because they'll never be in government.
  3. Wow, very good news for all Canadians. Could be a Québec provincial election in the spring, maybe a Federal election in the fall. Don't count the PQ out although this is good news. I'd love to see that social fascist party crushed in the next election. I hope the ADQ (right-wing Quebec party) gets more seats than they had before...so far they'll get my support.
  4. 1) "When" is very important...the day before a confidence vote is pretty important if you ask me. 2) You set the bar a bit high for the CPC...as high as it can go because if the left can't criticize us for not being as "good" as them, they'll criticize us for not being as good as they know no one in politics can be. 3) And yes, I tend to be paranoid when I see the CBC starting last January on election night start criticizing Harper and ripping him apart before his own acceptance speech. And Ricki and I asked you one thing you like about Harper and we're still waiting...
  5. Perhaps you are correct. And as for that last post, I realized that mistake as soon as I did it. Sorry!
  6. He said his force is best used for combat rather than diplomacy and development. He was right. Well I do hope some of us are adult enough to realize there are certain people out there we cannot negotiate with.
  7. Yes, you aren't blindly partisan, but there is an *obvious* lack of Conservative morality. No wonder you can't properly identify hypcocrisy, you can't even spell the word. Who's Doing What is blindly anti-Harper regardless of whether or they are Liberal. That is something you cannot prove. Regardless of my posts. Can you name one thing you like about Harper?
  8. CP's Joan Bryden in the Toronto StarBut that's not all. Ezra Levant had this in a recent column: Ezra LevantIncidentally, this is the Telecaster Web Site (not much). Now, keep in mind that Stephen Harper went all the way to the Supreme Court to determine whether a third party had the right to advertise during an election campaign. So, what is Harper up to with these ads outside of an election campaign? Presumably, there's no limit to how much the Tory's can spend in this manner. Is Harper testing the waters to see whether "someone" will force Telecaster to pull the ads? I do not know enough about all this to have an opinion. Clearly, in most elections we see, at the very least, candidates of all parties say things about their other opponents that are not true but, even if they have to pull their ads or take back their quotes, they already have to force their opponents into damage control.
  9. Yes, you aren't blindly partisan, but there is an *obvious* lack of Conservative morality. No wonder you can't properly identify hypcocrisy, you can't even spell the word. Who's Doing What is blindly anti-Harper regardless of whether or they are Liberal.
  10. Who's Doing What, "1. Belinda did not switch parties days after she was elected." Belinda was elected as a member of the Conservative Party of Canada. When is irrelavent...in fact, she crossed the floor and was THE DECIDING FACTOR in the vote...that kind of betrayal is UNPRECEDENED in recent Parliamentary history. Besides, Emerson crossed the floor to give Vancouver representation. "2. The Conservatives had just finished running a campaign on ethics and railing against the very same behaviour from the Liberals." Um, as long as hundreds of billions of dollars do not get wasted Harper is still above the Liberal bar (not that it's that high) as far as I'm concerned. "Again the CPC conveiently blames the media for blowing things out of proportion, when it was the CPC themselves who set the moral bar so high in the first place with the campaign they ran. If you are going to shout from the mountain top how you are morally superior, don't be surprised when you are held to superior standards. This whole "But we're not as bad as the Liberals" that the CPC conveniently falls back on is a joke. The CPC spent months telling Canada how not only were they morally superior to the Liberals, but how they were so different from the Liberals. So far they haven't proven either. If anything the CPC is looking more like the old Liberal party everyday." CBC and the left-wing media are out to get Harper...he has performed admirably as PM.
  11. MacKay is correct. There is no debate on the mission...we had that in May. Layton is nuts...does he understand the kind of people we are dealing with here?
  12. You know that if the CBC weren't biased Rick Mercer would think about a campaign to do that. They did it for a Conservative but something tells me they wouldn't for a Liberal leader.... Yeah that's funny...he's probably frothing at the opportunity to shop at Home Depot with Dion.
  13. Some of that BC herbal medication I take it.... That would be what I'd prescribe if it would make these lefties see Harper in a different light.
  14. Huh? What hasn't been *exposed* yet? Wouldn't it take negative TV Ads to expose their hypocrisy? But if the Liberals take the high road it shouldn't happen.... Relax Ricki, she hasn't taken her medication yet.
  15. jbg, No, not so,one doesn't have balls and the other wishes he did. That's the most feminist thing I thing I've ever read about Celine...
  16. And yet General Hillier says it is not the best use of his force. What is not the best use of his force?
  17. I wouldn't fear too if I was running against regional opposition parties and knowing tons of taxpayer money was pouring into the pockets of my party.
  18. Emmerson is laughing all the way to the bank. Let's see, the guy flips in a riding which hasn't voted Conservative in fifty years. He obviously therefore knows that switching sides is the last time he's going to be elected, yet he does it anyway. Nobody wonders why. The fact that he ends up signing the soft-wood lumber deal when he's been on the board of Canfor - Canada's largest exporter of lumber - went over everyone's head without so much as a peep from the media. He was a Liberal out of convenience and your beloved Harper took him in a heartbeat and gave him the position. So please..... stop with the righteoussness of the CPC. A bunch of hypocrites who haven't been exposed yet. Must be the Liberal media. Do you live in his riding? Man, I must have touched something there... I do not doubt he was a Liberal out of conveinence but I do believe Harper took him honourably to ensure representation for Vancouver in his government (even though it appears to be unrequited representation). I won't blame this one on the Liberal mainstream media, although they gave Belinda a free pass and blew this out of proportion.
  19. So they are responsible for diplomacy and development as well? To the extent that you can do that with the people that want to kill you, yes.
  20. I never have been a big fan of Emerson and wasn't crazy about what he did. That being said, he's performed admirably in government so far...I still wouldn't trust him as an ex-Liberal though. As for Dryden, still figuring out why he did what he did...liked him better in goal than spinning the Liberal myths of Canada.
  21. It is all in the hands of our very competent military.
  22. Yeah, kinda like Emerson. Don't forget Belinda.
  23. Don't say they want one but they aren't going to back a government indefinitely. If the budget has points that the opposition can't agree on, then we have an election. It depends. If the budget ends up on the mild side, it will pass. If the Tories stick in something meant to provoke an election, it will end in an election. And this might be what Harper wants even though he says he doesn't. If the TV debates are going to make Dion look as buffoonish as he did in those TV ads I'd just like to have an election right now.
  24. I can't get away from these commercials...I am watching the Habs game now and they're retiring Dryden's number and I am thinking of that last commercial (BTW I will always love Dryden but I AM SO ANGRY he became a Liberal sell-out).
