  1. Thanks to our so called friend,USA government,Canada finds itself to be in a hopeless position with reference to Meng extradition.Trump seems to be using her arrest as a bargaining chip for a trade deal and China fails to understand why we are obeying an international law.The Chinese govt is determined to hurt us ecomically. What can and should we do to solve this issue?.(please, insulting Trudeau is not a solution,it's just a rant)
  2. Of course he made a mistake and apologized later to Abe but why not focus on the positive outcome as opposed to your shitty gotcha mantra.Trudeau has managed to finesse a Pacific free trade partnership with a key player in world trade. We get access to Japanese markets for many of our products and they continue to invest in our auto sectors etc.I suggest you travel more and if you did you would realize how blessed we are as a non tribal secular society and appreciate a PM who at least tries to establish trade relations with ECC and the Pacific in the light of the unreliable US markets ,thanks to Trump.Your wonderful Harper government managed a free trade agreement with Israel and that thug Netyanou to bring in oranges and tile to Canada duty free in exchange for ??
  3. Look forward to hearing from West Man in four years when Kenney realizes he can't move the needle to a more prosperous Alberta.World wide use of petroleum continues to decline.Tar sands oil too expensive to produce and worth less at market.Perhaps more intelligent platform might be-We are a forward thinking Province with a good education system,a great infrastructure ;as opposed to blaming Ottawa,Indigenous people,BC,Quebec,Immigration policies for economic woes.Would a business invest in such a province given its combative stances on so many fronts. We shall see.
  4. Beg to differ on Trudeau election win-environment concerns were high on the policy platform and cap and trade or carbon tax very clearly stated.Provincial premiers have never been known to be long term planners and we are seeing that reality today.Buck a Beer, cheap gas, turn off the oil taps,we hate Ottawa are mostly the cards they play to the detriment of actually cooperating with the Feds. Its no accident that Harper never called any Provencial-Federal Conferences and just dictated policy. He realized these meetings were just platforms for sound bites for the folks back in the respective home province. The Liberals will likely have to fight an election on the environment but it looks like most voters are not interested. We will then see if Scheer will repeal all environmental protection since he denies the existence of such a problem.
  5. Perhaps Trudeau and many members of cabinet suggested fines and clear codes of conduct as opposed to court cases lasting several years because there are realities of present Global business structures. My visits to India, Pakistan,Vietnam Cambodia etc suggest no contract will be secured to provide a service if there,is not some form of incentive to someone. If a Canadian company wishes not to bid on contracts without favours good luck.Of course the enormity of SNC bribes and policies demands action but dragging Execs into court is somewhat hypocritical given bidding patterns.Of course all Canadian companies could just stay home and we can continue to be a resourced based economy, selling our products at prices over which we have no control.A huge moral dilemma for us but there are some critical factors which should be considered.
