Since all the gun crimes are not mental illness there are other factors involved Some ways of reducing gun crimes 1-Spend more on mental health 2-Laws to keep guns out of the hands of people with mental illness. 3-Banning assault weapons and weapons with high capacity magazines/clips. 4-Laws to make gun owners more responsible for the guns registered to them 5-The public to form an association to compete with donations to members of congress to secure there vote for gun controls.

Individual Contributions - Small Individual Contributions - Large Individual Contributions $549,580,640 $234,388,190 (32%) $315,192,451 (43%) (74%) PAC Contributions $0 (0%) Candidate self-financing $5,000 (0%) Federal Funds $0 (0%) Other $0 (0%) PAC CONTRIBUTIONS = $0 and where do think Obama's money came from.....trees ? Didnt come from the NRA NRA spent $15 million to oust President Obama from office in 2012, and donated overwhelmingly to Republican candidates

All card carrying NRA members are enablers of these shootings as they help fund the contributions to Republicans to vote in favour of hands off gun control. Assault rifles are not protected under the 2nd amendment so they should be easy to ban. The Americans willing to fight the NRA should raise funds to out bid contributions given by NRA.

Trump has often pointed to mental illness as the underlying cause for mass shootings, but one of his earliest actions as president was to undo a regulation that would have made it more difficult for people with a known mental illness to buy guns. Republicans are in the NRA pocket.....wont pass bills to reduce crime ....but will roll back bills to allow mentally ill to purchase guns. NRA CONTRIBUTIONS $5,900,000 given to Republicans in 2016 election cycle $106,000 given to Democrats in 2016 election cycle

A majority of Americans do not own guns which means the minority own 350 million guns?, and those that do, own them safely and responsibly without incident over many years so how do you account for the 40,000 gun related deaths a year...does not seam very responsible to me....I dont wanna take your guns away .I can see where that AR 15 would come in handy when you go hunting.......mind you you will probably die of lead poisoning after you filled your game with lead.

Well they are saying mental illness is a big problem which fits the Modus operandi of white supremacist ,right wing extremist , Trump....the mosque shooter was in same frame of mind.. The suspect is Alexandre Bissonnette, a 27-year-old student at Laval University. Mr. Bissonnette faces six counts of first-degree murder. He was known in the city’s activist circles as a right-wing troll who frequently took anti-foreigner and anti-feminist positions and stood up for U.S. President Donald Trump.

Obviously Canada's gun safes are far better quality because as data shows that America has a big problem with stolen guns used in crimes. Or alot more Americans need to buy gun safes....if you can afford a gun then lock it up. What is the problem then....if Canada has lots of guns per capita but does not come close to Americas gun related homicides per 100,000 people....something is fishy here....

Ian sure there is....most of it minor but Americans short term memory cant be so bad that mass shootings on average of 1 every day prevents them from making ANY legistlation to combat a huge problem hell after Vegas shooting they couldn't even ban bump stocks. Just talking about it does nothing....you need laws...stolen guns are a huge problem that often are used in a crime.....if your weapon was stolen and used in a crime then you do the time for that crime ...you want a gun so you need to be responsible that it does not get in the wrong hands.....lock it up in a secure vault
