Anti-regime protesters so far have been peaceful especially in Kurdistan and Zahedan where the regime cracked down real hard and many peaceful protesters were shot to death for simply walking in protests. The Qatar security forces (their government threatened by Islamic republic regime) confiscated the real national flag (Lion and Sun flag in the middle) from many spectators or did not allow them to enter the stadium. They also confiscated the revolutionary slogans of Woman, Life and Freedom from many protesters outside. One woman who was somehow able to enter the stadium with the Lion and Sun flag and displayed it was arrested by Qatar security forces and put in jail for several hours. This is how this brutal regime operates inside and outside Iran. By intimidation, fear, murder and rape on individuals, reporters and even governments.

They went there to demonstrate against the regime not to support the soccer team. These are Iranians abroad. After the fall of this hated regime you will see many Iranian women inside Iran dressing the same way. This is the Persian culture the majority of Iranians believe and if free would practice not the imposed Islamic culture or the forced hijab. I need to point out there are some Iranians who in spite of fierce opposition to regime but still support their soccer team and see them as national team. Soccer of football is very deep rooted among Iranians and for many it was not an easy choice to go against them.
