The definition of genocide is not at all in question, Scott. It has long been an established one. It matches the genocidal policies carried out by the Canadian government, hence the Canadian people, for at least a century. Odd that you consider asking people to accept the truth is "cultural bulling", especially when it is weighed against cultural genocide. Do you not see the huge disconnect here? No one is "begging" for anything, least of all to the "PM" who never once showed up to hear what the very group he now leads has wrought.

While I agree that we are seeing an extremist fringe here in this thread, Jacee, and I acknowledge that there are concerned Canadians, I think it a stretch to suggest that, at this point in time, that means 'most'. I certainly hope and pray that it ends up at 'most'. Where are all the MLW folk that fall into the most group?

One of the definitions of genocide is to forcibly take children away from their families, the purpose of which is to exterminate a culture. That was the express purpose of the Canadian government, the churches and society at large.

The policy is one of genocide, Smallc. I know you want to believe it was more benevolent but that doesn't change the fact that it was a policy of genocide.

But you're not addressing the issues, just as you are not addressing the actual descriptions of genocide.

It doesn't matter what percent it was. A botched genocide is still a genocide, just as a botched bank robbery is still a bank robbery.
