madmax Posted August 13, 2007 Report Posted August 13, 2007 I have to wonder what the scheme was behind giving a cricket society $1 million dollars when they only asked for $150,000. Since there was no real tracking mechanism for the first $150,000 I have to know what impulse was behind the decision to say hey, what's up, you only asked for a 150Grand, here's a Million. Was this a kickback scheme for the Liberals? Were they to bankroll this money and use it to fund the Liberal Fall election Campaign? It doesn't make any sense. I wouldn't mind asking for some money for my racing program, and probably would get it if I had a Liberal Membership Card. I am now hearing that some of the ethnic groups that are to have received money are wondering who these people are that claim to be leaders in their community. I know the Liberals were caught by the Opposition and the Auditor, but I have to wonder if this is criminal activity similar to what occured in Quebec. Quote
jbg Posted August 13, 2007 Report Posted August 13, 2007 I can't imagine the compassionate, big-hearted Liberals, being the friends of the workers that they are, even doing something so low and so corrupt. Quote Free speech: "You can say what you want, but I don't have to lend you my megaphone." Will the steps anyone is proposing to fight "climate change" reduce a single temperature, by a single degree, at a single location? The mantra of "world opinion" or the views of the "international community" betrays flabby and weak reasoning (link).
