I just read that a US stockbroker sent the Minister an e-mail, what he like to do to him, since his decisions has ruin his business and his clients. He said something about cutting his throat and I think its safe to say alot people feel that way, but may not really do it. It's obvious that Harper feels the same way as the minister , who put Ontario into debt, has alot people in N. America don't agree with him!!

Where did you read this? I think I'll assume your making it up in the meantime.

CCC

51. Every one who does an act of violence in order to intimidate Parliament or the legislature of a province is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding fourteen years.

Or how about this section:

Hoax — terrorist activity

83.231 (1) Every one commits an offence who, without lawful excuse and with intent to cause any person to fear death, bodily harm, substantial damage to property or serious interference with the lawful use or operation of property,

(a) conveys or causes or procures to be conveyed information that, in all the circumstances, is likely to cause a reasonable apprehension that terrorist activity is occurring or will occur, without believing the information to be true; or

(b ) commits an act that, in all the circumstances, is likely to cause a reasonable apprehension that terrorist activity is occurring or will occur, without believing that such activity is occurring or will occur.

Punishment

(2) Every one who commits an offence under subsection (1) is guilty of

(a) an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years; or

(b ) an offence punishable on summary conviction.

I figure making up death threats falls within such a measure.

So where did you find it?

It's been all over the news.

http://ca.today.reuters.com/news/newsArtic...-THREAT-COL.XML

disgruntled Louisiana stockbroker, apparently upset with the Canadian government's decision to tax income trusts, has been charged with threatening to injure Finance Minister Jim Flaherty.

A federal grand jury returned an indictment charging the Shreveport defendant, Lloyd Dewitt Tiller, Jr., with having sent "threatening communications over the Internet" to Flaherty, a statement from the U.S. Attorney's Office said.

The indictment charged that he threatened Flaherty on November 13, 2006, and that he again threatened him and members of his family on January 18.

It did not specify a reason, but the first alleged threat was made just two weeks after Flaherty took the investment community by surprise by announcing a new tax on income trusts, corporate structures that had avoided most corporate taxation.

Flaherty violated a Conservative Party campaign promise to leave the income trusts alone, but he said his move was necessary to prevent large erosion of the corporate income tax base as mainstream companies planned to convert to trusts.

Interesting. Silly stockbroker. While I think Flaherty is an a terrible Finance Minister, I think he's better unharmed as he can continue to provide me with little talking points to laugh at.

None the less, my point was to the original poster to add a source to his article. This isn't the first time he's "seen something" or what not and posted without a link. I actually didn't see this in the news.

Don't you read/listen to the news?

Yeah outright lying like how he did is unconcionable in the US. They are not used to lies like that from their polical leaders.

---- Charles Anthony banned me for 30 days on April 28 for 'obnoxious libel' when I suggested Jack Layton took part in illegal activities in a message parlor. Claiming a politician took part in illegal activity is not rightful cause for banning and is what is discussed here almost daily in one capacity or another. This was really a brownshirt style censorship from a moderator on mapleleafweb http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1oGB-BKdZg---

He'll have to get in line with a hundred thousand others who would like a piece of Flaherty.

Its interesting that Harper is rarely dragged through this same puddle.
