Why don't you spend a little less time worrying about me and a bit more worrying about formulating credible arguments? I have come to understand, from being on the web for a few years, that there is a certain type of poster who runs around slagging other posters rather than attempting to argue with them. You clearly take me seriously enough to jump into a thread and throw mud at me, but you just as clearly hesitate to engage in a debate with me. That speaks volumes.

The thread you started is about No Fly lists. You have to spin it into something else in order to try to make the idea palletable to others.

Most of the people in these forums are Conservatives. The Minority are Liberals and then some others of various persuasions. Those who have Conservative leanings and those with Liberal leanings have not bought into your position of no fly lists.

Your personal statements in this thread are radical and provocative.

You are in the minority position in this thread amongst known Conservatives and Liberals and infact you are alone. What I have read up to this post, the only thing you could hang your hat on, is that the government position supports your view.

Perhaps this lone fact, may draw out more of those on the right to jump in and support your position.

But I would say your posts, because of their nature have kept possible supporters away.

You could have better put forth an argument for No Fly lists and why you want them.

The no-fly list does nothing,

However, after being grilled by those on the "right" they have pushed you to state a position that you too think No fly lists are ineffective, and are merely a control mechanism for "outrage" "howls" vs an effective tool against terrorism.

You can add my name to those who think this no-fly list is a waste of time and resources. To think it could prevent terrorists from using the airlines is laughable. No doubt, innocent people will find their names on this list, and only one such case is one case too many.

I know that this no-fly list is used to accuse the party of cozying up to and pandering to Bush/the US, and as a Conservative Party supporter, I like it even less.

The criticism aimed at the Conservatives is well deserved.

Can we get British intelligence to look after our airline security instead? Their track record is not nearly so bad.

How about El Al 's instead.

The US CIA is a joke. It would be funny if the results weren't so deadly.

The CIA is controlled primarily by the State Department, which is basically following the interests, not of the US, but of what could loosely be called our "diplomatic partners". They'll do anything to avoid ruffling Arab feathers.
