M.Dancer Posted April 9, 2007 Report Posted April 9, 2007 Should a legislature be able to stand in the way of government business? It already does/can. Perhaps the Atlantic party should take a 2 year canadian political science course along with a canadian political history course. Does not 'confidence' dictate that if a government bill is defeated the government falls? Quote
M.Dancer Posted April 9, 2007 Report Posted April 9, 2007 Only on a confidence bill. Other bills that aren't deemed confidence can be safely defeated without bringing the gov't down. What is more, if the members wish, bills can be delayed trough comitee ad debate. Quote RIGHT of SOME, LEFT of OTHERS If it is a choice between them and us, I choose us
