KrustyKidd Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 Like I do on many other days, today I will pause for a few moments to REMEMBER that the freedoms I enjoy came at a terrible price for many brave men and women. To those who paid the ultimate sacrifice I pledge I will not forget them. To those who are amongst us I will give vocal thanks for their efforts in holding back the tide of tyranny that has tried time and time again to enslave us. To those who continue this struggle I pray Godspeed for I know that they will need to be strong and villigent. Evil has not left the world, it waits, lurking like a thief, a sickness that preys on those who forget that freedom is worth everything and if lost, might never be found again. SirRiff Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 there was some story on CBC i think about a man looking for his uncle who died in WWII. the kid was like 17 walking through a wheat field somewhere in europe when they were attacked. was from Saskatchewan. i was just thinking, i coudnt even do my own laundry at 17... those were tough kids. it was also nice to see the ceremonies by the french gov in honor of teh canadians that fell on the beaches there. very nice tribute.
